My family moved from the city to the suburbs, but instead of a newer rambler style house, we bought this older place. While others had electric stoves we had gas via cylinders outside the kitchen. While everyone else nice clean basements and forced air gas furnaces, we had huge oil burner. One time we had a chimney fire and were the center of attention as billious black smoke poured out of it. On the other hand, while neighbor kids had 9" high wading pools, my mom bought a 18" high large circular pool and you could swim under water in it (no photos!) | ||
