   The Rams

1971 Daya came to QVS to be the bursar and they moved into the other half of my house. Doli, the wife, would feed me with roti and curries and when Gail came she taught her the secrets of making great food. Older daughter, Desli and we gave our Renee that nomiker for her middle name. The younger daughter, Sunitha, was a real cutie. Doli's brother, lived with themn and attended the school. There was one a=other Hindiat the school, Puran. I once visited Doli's father, Jack Bali Ram, in Toorak and he told about Fiji before and during WWII. When we left Fiji my dog, Ghetto moved in with the Rams. Doli fed her generously and when we returned in 1976 she was big doggie. Rams visited us in Papakura in the late 70s. WHen we ran into then in Auckland in 1988 they were living in Waterview. In 1990 Daya called saying he was unemployed and could I get him a job at the Mill. enlarge
