Beethoven

Our first dog in New Zealand. Gail got him on 3 March 1977 for $30. I named him Beethoven so I could say: "Roll Over Beethoven". So we now had three little ones around the place: Te, Ne and Be. Beethoven was ALWAYS wandering. I would build fences and block holes and he would find a new way out. We got in trouble with a neighbor on the next block as Be used their yard as his toilet. Be got in trouble with a run in with a car and needed a hip operation in October 1977. That didn't curb his wanderlust. We sold him to a couple with a young child in October 1979. I cried when he left as it signalled to me that we really were going to leave NZ.
