He had a go kart that had yoghurt container head lamps until some horrible local kids ripped them off...

Papakura YMCA: he did gymnastics there. He played basketball there, and saw the Wombles play there in concert - Bulgaria was his favourite.

Played basketball in final year at high school in Papua New Guinea, and represented the school in matches. His height was the advantage.

At University in Auckland (Electrical Engineering) Trefina (from QVS days) was in his chemistry class and they had to pair up to do an experiment.

His first car was a Ford Cortina Mk3. The drivers seat was held in the upright position by a beer crate. Later he cut the roof off and made it a convertible.

And now he is, unfortunately, almost normal. He said it was the Pink Panther poster I made for him in 1974 that got him interested in cartoons/graphics. Has a house in Auckland, has a partner and had a creative job in the marketing advertizing world. But as you do in NZ, they have just left our shores to do their OE (Overseas Experience - something that young kiwis do before settling down. It usually means heading for the UK, get a job and then travel Europe, not necessarily in that order). So he and Lula are in the England and he is working for the BBC. He says: "Great people. Was by far the best place I've worked in. Lots of talented people doing great work."
