Lamorna was born in Croydon, England. She was one of my many math students at Rosehill in the late 70's. She was also one of the stationery room volunteers and worked her way to the top. From there it was a natural for her to babysit our kids at home.
While we wasted away in Minnesota, Lamorna began a career as electrical engineer while raising show dogs (R.I.P. Thomas) and giving motorcycle lessons. She can take a car engine apart, repair it and put it back together. She took a sabattical from
the job to gain a higher degree (in rocks) and currently is strolling around the corridors of some ivory tower scaring the hell out of the stuffed shirts. In 1997 she was on an island at the Great Barrier Reef as a part of course on palentology. I can only guess
as to how the "Spike" came to label this sweet girl. If you have a guess, send it along to me.I'll give you a hint: Last time we saw Spike was when she stopped in on her way to Dragoncon 98 in Atlanta.
In 2007 she became an emergency responser out of Hamilton. I guess she keeps an eye on the Waikato river's level. Then it was Dunedin and 2010 found her in Timaru (article).
