Laure (aka Scary Spice) arrived at Rosehill while we were tripping around the world in '97. Fabiola brought the new AFS student to meet me on the 14 Oct. and I embraced my first walloon. We brought her to a Guy Fawkes bonfire which was a treat because she was living on a farm 15 miles out of town. Not much social life, so we became her adopted "town" family. Yes, she really is from Belgium and she speaks French and excellent English. She's back in Belgium at university studying French, Spanish and teaching assistants. Laure got a job as a waitress in a very posh restaurant and hates it. She hates the super rich snobs that she has to serve. Laure (aka Jack) possesses an analytical mind and likes to read more into what is said than needs be done, so I must be careful about what I write here. I think she would kill for a piece of lemon cake. As a camp leader she once invaded France with an army of children. Update 2001: Spent time in Spain and Scotland. Update 2005: Laure followed a boy to Italy - it lasted 6 months. Update 2008: Laure now works at the EU Parliament where she arranges meetings for the media. She went to Israel for 10 days with a Davie. Update 2012: Laure and partner had a son. Update 2015: Laure and partner had a daughter. Update 2022: Digital Learning experiences Designer and manager of 9 staff
