Utah's Mormons

Utah and the Great Salt Lake
Which the Mormons helped to make
Without the Mormons it'd be a pity
Cause there'd be no Salt Lake City

They travelled through the Salt Lake Desert
It's a good thing they didn't avert
They settled in the Salt Lake Valley
And as you know, they didn't dally

They worked right down to the bone
Until the plants had finally grown
Then came the crickets by the millions
Boy! What a fright to the civilians

The Mormons gloomy, the Mormons dull
Now thank the California Gull
From the Salt Lake thickets
They came to rid the crickets
