Hartmanns of Beaulieu 30 Aug 1975
Up at 10AM. Helped store grain away and then we were shown all the animals. Took a truck out to a field and went around on the cultivator for awhile. Walked along the Wild Rice River which flows through their land. Tasted wood apples and wild plums. Visited the girls "play house" in the grove. Gail, Linda and I walked to the "dead" river to see the ducks. Dug up worms and went fishing in the scummy river bend with Junior. He caught two suckers. After lunch we played football with Jr. Around 7PM we went back to the field to get the truck. I helped feed the pigs (beat them off with a whip) and cows. No photo of Mighty, the dog.
