| On contract from Scotland to teach English. He married his housegirl, Susi. Famed for his crappy vehicles (he bought his white Falcon (M754) from John McItyre)
that were always on death's door but could be coaxed to get us to and from Suva. Even more famous for "White's Folly" - Epeli conviced him to bring him to the Union Club in Suva. So he was in his usual
drunken state that night in 1968. So Sophie (ACS) drove and ended up off the road near Naimasimasi. Ian took over and he fell asleep and woke in tall grass near Natovi. They stumbled from one side of the road to the other as they walked to RKS. Since he had been left in charge
of the place and the Headmaster was returning the next day, he got Bryce Taylor to use the RKS tractor to pull the car back on the road, and he drove the dear old thing back to QVS, very pleased with his efforts to hide his evil doings from Keith.
All to no avail, because Walker greeted him with: "I hear you had an accident". He loves astronomy (bought a telescope) and trees (planted 500 pine on his property in Nasoni). |
