Peter Wilkins

A VSA (New Zealand's version of Peace Corps) from Invercargill. He came to the school as an agriculturial officer but since the school was short of teachers (I ended up teaching art) he was given Geography, History, English and Music classes. Eventually he ended up working on the farm and as a result he, out of all of us, got the best "Fijian" experience. Unfortunately, when Murray and I decided to room together, Peter was then put in with Woody and I am not sure who corrupted whom. But the two of them would go into Suva and return with women. One, Kalokalo, actually stole young Peter's heart. He even went back to her village to meet the matagali. ATaking the bus into Suva to see Prince Charles and a car crashed into the bus throwing Peter into the front window.
