Ian was in the top 3rd form Maths class when I encountered him. He and a few others were always trying to catch me out. And I had to be on my best game.
When I had Ian again in 6th form he hadn't changed and was a challenge. He got 100% on the mid-year exam. As soon as the final exam was over, the Head of Maths and I marked his paper first and
we tried our darndest to find something to mark wrong. But Ian's work was perfect and faultless. He was a Rosehill radio DJ. In 1973 he was a checkou boy at Foodtone, Takanini. I ran into him on a bus in 1984. He has degrees in Cell Biology and Education.
Worked as systems administrator for Government Agencies in Wellington.
