Downstairs for the 1st time in the big room - display table flashing lights amid the Kool Aid packs. First go at this version and the questions were tough, but we got through with early cheating as Mike was tired and wanted to go home.

1 Nov	AE NZ Genus	AE RH JNM GM AH MH IB	Saragasso Sea	John was welcomed back with a show of lightning rarely seen in these parts, but even the thunder (like blows from the Brockton Bomber) didn't stop him from sleeping through parts of the action. We had a Lotto win.
18 Oct	Bert	BN AE MH AH PF	furcula, anyone? golf tee marker kuri	Paul came late floated and fell asleep. Bert saved the day with his sports knowledge. RH and AE went to a TP night fund raiser for Janine's singing group. 6 of us drew for 1st then played a 2 round play off and lost by 1 point. (the other table had 10 players).

9 Aug	ICW US Genus	ICW JW AE GM RH	F.I.S.A., anyone? whale gestation=12m Wings wins Oscar	Jackie rolled for all and did a brilliant job of getting the ladies on the cheeses (ladies played men). Hardly needed to cheat at all. "Chain Gang" in gridiron are the 3 men who move the 10 yd chain that indicates the distance the ball must progress in 4 downs - simple, eh?. Happy Birthday AH.
2 Aug	MH	MH AH AE GM ICW	Slava Snowshow, anyone?	Lots of lollies and some really morish honey snacks from Ian - Korean, I think. Supper time the goodies were a bit thin! All we had left was Gail's one muffin cut into 4 pieces and buttered. We rolled dice to see who got the biggest piece! Paul now in cahoots with IB.
26 Jul	MH NZ Genus	MH AH AE BS	Mangakino, anyone?	Welcome Back Bev. Mike can't remember how long he and A. have been living together or when he last cooked dinner. AE's 1st thoughts turned out to be wrong 3 times in a row!!. Check out the new "Sis Report" to see if Bev got it right.

IB AE AH MH	Happy Birthday Bev	IB has a cold but happy to be on holiday, AE sick with Crohns (operation on 1st), AH just plain tired after shifting house and MH glad to cheat early (in memory of Gail). Ann and Mike have been in the same house for one week and are still talking to each other!

7 Jun	AH NZ Genus	AH MH AE IB PF ICW	Kinshasa, Congo - formerly BELGIUM Congo - hence French speaking country	Installment 3 from CW. Unfortunately, no gossip from her to read. AE gonna try teaching Koreans. Ann and Mike say that TP will be in their new house the Friday following 23rd Aug.
31 May	AE NZ Genus	AE RH AH MH ICW BS		Miss X is moving in wid da man and it might be for a very longtime since no one wants to share with his mother. Its been so long BS had almost forgotten how to play and we wondered if we had done the right thing in letting her roll. Bev is off to track down her peripatetic sister.
24 May	IB Genus IV	IB PF AE MH AH	Happy Birthday Mikie!!!!	New report from Colleen. Struggled through but got the required draw. PF & AE fell asleep. What is it about IB's place? Maybe the high altitude! Could be boredom - where's Malley when you need him?
10 May	AH NZ Genus	AH MH RH IB		Russell off to the land of OZ to take in a little League - go Warriors! Most of the talk centered around to trust or not to trust. Miss X has sold her house.
3 May	AE US Mill	AE RH MH AH IB ICW	Altamont, anyone? Bell-bottoms: easy to roll up in the days when sailors scrubbed decks in their bare feet	2nd enthralling installment from Colleen. Mike prefers the old cards as he can answer the q's. Irene and AE prefer the challenge of something new. Ian seemed to have problems with his hearing. AH very very "tired" (must be from the landings). MH has had a haircut and the bald patch definitely looks bigger. He dared to ask where we were next week - thought he could because John was not there!!
19 Apr	Bert's Genus 2	BN IB AH MH AE Michelle	to curl or not to curl	HAPPY BIRTHDAY Miss X. Ian is offering Korean lessons. Someone we know has been driving without a licence for over a year and just found out - no it wasn't Ian. IB chooses "roll again" over cheese. MH growled at her and she still didn't realise what she had done. Blames Friday night tiredness on being back at school.
12 Apr	MH NZGen	AH MH IB AE PF	Lizzy Borden caribou anyone?	Malleys are in Arizona attending to Gail's mother. Irene floated for the first time ever. AE and Paul managed to stay awake. Great discussion on how snails mate - the shell considered a real problem. Russell busy painting a HUGE railway building (40m x 20m inside). Ian back from son's wedding and says: "Melbourne Rox".
29 Mar	IB	IB PF AH MH AE		Small turn out. Even quieter night. First Paul fell asleep then AE fell asleep. A snoring koala makes more noise then us all put together.
22 Mar	ICW US Genus	ICW JNM GM RH AE AH MH	Bella Abzug, anyone? bees gather nectar	Bon Voyage Colleen - off to US & Britain. Mike says: 1. John should be certified, 2. Miss X's head was X-rayed and nothing was found. 3. Don't bring eggs next week. Encyclopedia says Caspian sea is world's largest (salt) lake. Mike (he the man) gave John a bottle of wine so he could get plastered of Paris, and it wasn't even French.
15 Mar	MH NZ Genus	MH AH JNM GM ICW IB CW	Steppenwolf, anyone? Snugglepot & Cuddlepie Topaz, or not topaz?	Guess who broke of his 206 bones. Do Morris Dancers send a code when then ring those bells and tap their feet? John and Ian were pitted against the others and despite Irene's attempt, they managed to win just before the inevitable "tie". For an extra $1200 you can get bricks layed vertically (usually around doors and windows).

Sarah dropped in with lollies from England, played along and told us we were crazy to not play to win and labeled us "old people". That's what's wrong with the youth of today. Malley brought bogus photos of Irene, so did Sarah (favorite poem is 'Ode to a Grecian Urn').

Everyone seems to be doing up their house these days. Paul's brother coming over from Perth. John floated then didn't, then did, then shouldn't. "Bight me!". Happy Birthday Christopher.
15 Feb	AH	AH MH ICW JNM AE	Liver, anyone?	John amazed when a question came up about runner Gordon Pirie who worked with him at Rosehill in the late '70s. On the otherhand, Ian didn't know, personally, a male ballet dancer on a different question. And of course, Mike didn't know anyone. Another runner, Forrest Simpson was from Canada and had nothing to do with "Chariots of Fire". In case you didn't know, Susan Devoe's husband's business went bankrupt, according to our resident seal, AE.
8 Feb	BN NZ Genus	BN AH MH IB Michelle JNM GM	fibanaci, anyone? elderberry	Happy 70th Bert. Some lady named Michelle snuck in and played - probably wondering why I kept taking notes, such as: "I'm always nice, John" and "I like male". Mike did so well that from now on he's not just "the man" but "the Pizza Man" (especially when Ann is in England). But she'll only be able to go when she saves up enough memory. Course maybe she can get a cheap flight piloted by Tracy. Happy Birthday Irene
1 Feb	n/a			Lotto - $32. No game - most too tired from being back at school or else cricket-mad. John took in too much perfume at a yoga class and his head wasn't up to thinking (nor repairing computers). Roché promoted and will be working out of Manukau. AE is giving vacuum demonstrations.
25 Jan	Malleys OZ Baby B	JNM GM AE MH AH IB ICW RH RM	est,, anyone? Yippie!! Karen Ann Qinlan	Because of censorship reqirements I simply can't report on a good portion of the evening. Began okay with almost everyone in the pool. But it was all downhill from there - I didn't know Bridget Bardot was German. Ian swears you can get Chinese croissants in Pukekohe. What the "Hec Ramsey" is a Yakky Doodle or a Whangdoodle.
18 Jan	AH NZ Genus	AH MH JNM GM ICW IB PF RH	Trygve, anyone? Billy Yank Sir Worrell	Lotto - $16. Paul floated (and stung like a bee) - refusing to answer Mike's email query, likening Irene's arrival to a rubbish truck which really cracked her up - or at least a tooth. Got so bad that the "D" word was used and Russell almost piddled himself.
11 Jan	IB UK Genus IV	IB AH MH CW AE		John was completely drained from 3 days of camping with Christopher and didn't make it to see Colleen beg for mercy. Here is Mike's report: Mike says: "Gossip there was none! a very slow night, I think (yes I do that sometimes) we all had a long hard week". The Malley says: "BORING!!!!!!!" Mike says: "Yes,its your job to be there and make it unBORING!!!!!!"
4 Jan	AE US Mil	AH MH JNM GM RH IB AE	keratin, anyone? or a gonzo? Ayatollah Khomeini, returned to Tehran after 15 years of exile in Iraq and several months in Paris.	Out and about the past week celebrating the New Year - Hamilton and Auckland Zoo, but no one went to Celebration, Florida. Wasting ink, wasting ink, wasting ink, wasting ink, wasting ink, wasting ink, wasting ink,... I have better things to do than report on IB's syphilis story. Ian didn't make it - I think he was off in search of The Holy Grail somewhere in Bolivia with his dear friend Klaus Barbi.
