| 1990 | Mom called - getting me up at 7AM. Supper from Georgie Pie. Trish and boys called and sang "Happy Birthday" to me. Gail called at 11:45PM - just like my mother, can't figure out time difference. |  | |
| 1991 | Mom called to wish me a "HB". Turkey dinner. Presents: Scattergories, which we played, VCR tape and a Goofy watch from Gail. |  | |
| 1992 | Mom called. Doug called - wants me to buy a computer for him. Trish called. Gifts: crossword book, basketball magazine, Goofy items. Vindaloo takeaways for supper. Mail box painted pink (probably Doug). Mike Clark called. |  | |
| 1993 | Town with Dad. Opened my gifts - white board, Goofy Joke book (had to teach Dad how to do "Knock Knock" jokes - tape) and a Goofy tie (tape). Dad gave me a bottle of Boggs cranberry liqueur (tape). Sizzlers for supper. Played Pigmania. Looked at family videos. Doug and Ian each called to wish me a "HB". |

| 1994 | Whites over. Had a South African Blouberg white that was terrible. Played Jarts and Taboo with a reasonable Black Tower. Dogs got into White's car and Cabby wouldn't come out (it had been our car). When they left we went to Aldies for Chinese takeaways and an ok Selaks '94 Sav Blanc. Played buckets and pool. Cake and pressies: rock 'n roller that moves to sound. |  | |
| 1995 | Su - Whites came with Mark Sturton. Japanese Grand Prix on front lawn - I came in last (4 spin-offs in 3 laps). Played croquette until supper outside, with an okay '92 Castellani Chianti. Played Sexual Trivia (gift from Ian) until coffee and cake. Looked at latest slides. Gail and Ne gave me a Dustbuster. David gave me a Goofy clock. |  |

| 1996 | T - 50th. Gail made a big sign and put it on the mailbox. Trish called. Georgie Pie and opened gifts. Mike Clark called. Ian stopped in for coffee and cake. |  | |
| 1997 | W - 15 birthday hugs: Ne, Tracy, Pomme, Fab, Douglas Shanks, Christine Giblin, Julie Green, Gillian Ayliffe (kiss), Denise Hastie, Kathy Sanders, Dawn McIntyre, Fluffy, Melinka, Gail and David. Phone calls from Mike Clark, Whites, Angi (unemployed and depressed) and Trish. Dale came over for coffee and cake. She gave me a card and a British Music Database CD. We played Trivial Pursuit. |

| 1999 | F - Ian called from school. Angi called. Trish came by and we exchanged gifts. Ian and kids over with gourmet jelly beans. Ann, Russell and Christopher over with the same Goofy book. Barry O'Shea also came by for TP. |  Trish | |
| 2000 | Su - Trish arrived with a giant card and a medical calendar. Whites over for a barbecue with an excellent '96 Sangovese Toscana. Played Pictionary. Gail is amazing - able to guess things from almost nothing. |  | |
| 2001 | Brilliant Birthday. Berthe arrived at noon with bbq skewers. We played a game of Upwords - Stephanie's first go at it. Trish and David came by with a luxurious rum baba cake (sans clothing - the cake, not Trish!!). No sooner are they out the door than Ian and Susi arrived with a '95 Chateau Tanesse Bordeaux and to show off his fold-away ladder (he got $10 off because there was no box or instructions). Had supper and Tracy stopped (Scott didn't want to get out of the car) by with another bottle: Mission Estate 2000 Chardonnay. Inbetween visits I was busy reading emails and ecards: Titania, Kay, Ong, Berthe, Emery, Ian, Susi, and Chris. |  from Trish | |
| 2002 | Gail and I went to Sapporo Japanese Restaurant in Waiuku (actually owned and run by Koreans - Gail taught the daughter). We had a supper box which had a variety of items and sake. Phone calls from Trish and Demmy. Steph gave me a bottle of French wine (Chenet Cabernet Syrah). We played 8 ball and none of us were very good. |  | |
| 2003 | Smiths called and sang "Happy Birthday" to me. Got an ecard from Angi and emails from Hansen and Audrey. Mike called to say Sofie in car accident and they can't make it tonight. Went to Audrey's for a G&T. Steph gave me jellied doughnuts. Call from Ann E/Chris W. (Mangakino broken into so they are going down and will miss TP this week). Cake and cappuccino ice cream with Ian who came by to give me a PC Authority magazine and an acrostic poem. Steph gave me a Melaware Disney plate w/ Goofy. |

| 2004 | Ann/Russ/Chris came by with a '02 Mahurangi Reisling and we men played cricket with Ne and Bonnie until takeaways were ready. Titania called from Sydney. Had a '02 Tokay Pinot Gris by Laugel with fish 'n chips. Audrey arrived with a McGuigan '03 Black Label Red in a lovely wine bag. Then it was all on as Clarks (Dashwood with a really long list about being a friend), Whites, mini-Whites and deV's arrived en masse. Eventually got a game of TP going downstairs with the 16 players while David kept the six kids (Christopher, Charlotte, Julian, Marcel, Christian and Kelcie) entertained outside and upstairs. I had moved onto an excellent Matua '02 Pinotage CabSav. After the game we had baba cake that deV's and Hickford loved. |

| 2005 | Minis sang "HB" on a video. Denny's so I could get a free meal. Service was terrible. Food arrived after 30 minutes, with no utensils. I had cheese on top of my fajito omelette and plain rather than wholemeal toast. A further 30 minutes and David went up to complain about no drinks. His and Gail's were served. Another 15 minutes and I went up and let the managress have it. So she brought the exact same two drinks that we already had. Claimed its a new computer program mucking things up. So no way would we stay for dessert. Picked up some Dunkin' Donuts. Whites came for bridge with a Wolf Blass '04 Cab-Merlot. As they left Trish and David arrived with a rum baba cake. |

| 2006 | Gail and I treated Trish to a meal at Valentines. Then a short visit - she gave me a Goofy Adidas jacket and I gave her "The Great Snow Man" on CD. Tracy and Steph called. |  |

| 2007 | Whites came by for a glass of Chateau La Motte 2005 Bordeaux (gift from Stephanie). Baba cake. | ||
| 2008 | We had Cappuccino ice cream with the cake. Then we opened the box that Karen F had delivered for Trish. A turkey that squawks "Jingle Bells" while trying to run away. Emery called at 11PM to wish me a Happy. |  |

| 2009 | Th - Had a very dry Chateau Plagnac 2005 Medoc with supper. Sandy, Mike and Charlotte came by with an Olssens '08 Pinot Noir. We were catching up on a year's worth of life when Ian dropped in with a wine appreciation kit | ||
