1972	Ghetto whining all day - her 7 puppies driving her crazy. Taru over and told us about pig hunting.
1984	Saw "A Christmas Story" at the Plaza (Maplewood). True rendering of a Jean Shepherd short story and I loved it. So much exactly like it was for me around age 7. Should have won an academy award for set design. (trailer)
1985	T - Chris completed the code list, so I signed off the Ag greenie [declared the project finished, 11 months after it was begun and 8 months behind schedule]. Went to Ag Status meeting and Nancy told us company is withdrawing from Ag. Ironic, the very day that I finish they throw it out the window. Big shock to Chuck, who was quite upset as they would have known for months and yet kept pushing me to get it done.
1989	Whites' to welcome Granny back. Karioitahi for some great surfing with the crowds.
1994	Whites over at 2PM. Couple of games of bridge after supper (Gail made a slam). Matthew's cake and gifts: mouse holder, tack wax (which he didn't know what to make of it until we gave him David's surfboard).
1999	F - Nancy and Harlan Vall arrived at 11:15AM. Big surprize - I was still in pajamas. They had photos of Dad and Lavonne, aspirin and licorice from Dad. We visited for an hour.
2000	Sa - Whites and Rainer came for an evening of wine (Montana 99 rough chardonnay), swimming and talk. Rainer brought Senad and Titania back to his place.
2003	email from Monique explaining "Russian kiss". Senad came to spend a few days and to paint - today the dormers. Taught Senad snooker and sent him off to sleep in the loft.
2004	Spoke to Keith Clark about NZ Chefs website. Gail got a Judy Bailey haircut today. Marcia's and helped her start a few bone density posters. Sorted through Doug's floppies and CDs. She gave me a few more books (most I had given to Doug). Reasons why we couldn't reach her at Whangmata: 1. She was looking at a builders bottom and rode her bike into the curb and her phone fell out of her bag. 2. She got a new one only to leave a water bottle not closed properly drenching the phone in her bag.	Judy
2011	Sa - Smithers came with this year's homestay, Kaho and James' friend, Elias. Kids in the pool while we adults visited over a Villa Maria '08 Rosé.
2018	M - Watched Zoi Sadowski-Synnott compete in Olympics on snowboard. She is the daughter of Sean S.
2022	Sa - Woken at 6:30AM by smoke alarm - no fire. Today was games and desserts. Played 5 Tribes, Wingspan, Kingdomino and Burgundy. Started with custard and berries, had watermelon at a break, waffles for a meal and a great peanut Butter Cup ice cream.
