1971	While defrosting, Kelera punched a hole into the freezer compartment - bingo, no more Freeon, no more fridge.
1972	Simon gave me a floppy yellow beach hat (sunglasses built into rim). Painted my tennis shoes yellow. Bob installed a water heater. Murph's for 1st Annual QVS Billiards Tournament. Power on until 1AM so we got a lot of games in. Ken 1st, Mitchell 2nd, Bob 3rd and White 4th, Hayson 5th and I was last.	tres chic
1974	Got my NZ driver's licence - small book where a sticker is put every three years.
1975	Specialist, Dr Poole, at Kolmar Clinic in Papatoetoe said I have stirations on my eye. I should wear sunglasses and he gave me a prescription for eye drops. Ran into Doug on bus home.
1978	Su - Formed "Adanac-Minnesota" syndicate with Sanders to buy Golden Kiwi tickets.
1981	Th - Watched < North Stars and Boston set a record 406 min in penalties and 12 players ejected.
1988	Ian and Woodwards arrived at noon to do a re-pack of David's junk boxes. Airport and he went straight onto the plane for Singapore to his new job in Cairo.
1989	Su - Fellow who lived here 1955-60 stopped in with his children. At that time it was a big farm all the way to Gt So Rd and motorway and all of the Rosehill schools. Split into nine 10 acre sections. Veggies garden was where lemon is, They put the kiwifruit in. Where our veggies are was a large shed that held excavation machinery. Out front was sunken with large flower gardens to the road. The large bedroom wasn't there. Watched Tyson beat Bruno (highlights).
1990	Brought Jill L to meet Peter and Nuttal. Jill B back from crash landing. She and Craig went to Southmark to chose their prizes.
1997	W - Asked Shanks if he was "Doug or Douglas". He said it was "Doug" but don't tell his mom, Jennifer (not "Jenny" as she told me in 1995). Advised Yuki and Chi to say "We are happy", not "We are funny".
1998	Th - School at 9AM to find Douglas and Matthew wagging athletics. We spent the whole day in B7. Peter Shanks gave me a copy paper box worth of cookies (he gets the broken ones in bulk for his pigs). Gaye said our offer for the Colombo place (3 tier on 1 acre) rejected even though we offered what they asked.
2002	Senad (fresh tatoo on right arm) and Titania (phony dreadlocks) stopped in with a couple of German uni students, Markus Klose and Suzan Sariefe, on way to and from Awhitu.
2012	Sa - Meal with the Atmores at BlueBiyou at Papamoa Beach. Had a amuse-bouche complements of the chef, bread with dukkah, scallops and pork belly with a parsnip-pear-vanilla mash. Very good Mills Reef '10 syrah and a pleasant Trinity Hill '09 merlot-cabfranc-cabsav. Spoke to the French waitress, Sis, before heading to Colleen's for a Baileys caramel. Chris and Pippa stayed the night with us.
2014	W - Colleen A's to set up my VCR for her (she has no idea what the difference is between a VCR tape and a DVD disc). We had a meal with a Roaring Meg and an affogato (I had a French blueberry liqueur).
2016	F - Great dream ending - detective says: "I found a stick of gum" and I wonder what that has to do with the murder. He comes out holding a strip of photograhic film.
2020	W - Terraforming (2nd highest for me). Gals had Burger King (tried an Impossible Burger) while I had a tandoori Chicken Wrap. Crashed. Watched The Red Line.
2021	F - Saw Dr Kerry in the "Cabin". She said my throat wasn't that bad and did I want a COVID swab? I said it would be cool to be able to say that I had one. Turned out that I didn't have to pay because of the swab, the visit is covered by the government.
2023	Su - Brought Te to airport at 11:10AM. Listened to the Twins first spring training game. 80 minute walk to Concord. I crossed paths with a couple in their swimwear and I pointed and said: "It's that way." He said "bloody tourist" referring to my accent. I told him that I have lived here 50 years. We walked together and when we got to the intersection I pointed again and said: "That way, you can't miss it. It's a big blue thing". He said: "Bloody immigrant". I replied: "That's better". Gym and pool. Bumped into Maggie, who doesn't remember that we had met three times before. Mags gave me a hug and a kiss, so I sat with her in the lounge and talked for ten minutes.
