1959	After school I was chosen to captain a 7th grade basketball team. Terry Anderson, Gary Johnson, Brian Torgeson, D McDowns and some other kid. Went to Elliott Elementary and helped Mr. Hall with basketball relays.	Terry

1972	Kincy brought me to their place in Bloomington. Only saw Terri for a few moments as she and Ken were packing to leave for Arizona tomorrow. Kin and I played pool.
1973	Bus to Korovou. Met Tomasi Q's father - remarkable resemblence. Doctor at Health Center was unable to arrange checkups for our NZ immigration. Managed to catch the standby back. PWD has begun rebuilding Seru's and the Primary School bures.	TQ
1974	Tape from Woody and we spent the day listening to it (Woody and Kelera, then radio about Nixon's impeachment, Oldies radio and World Series). Bill L and Paul M over at 5PM with a Corbans Cuvee and a Babich sauterne for dessert. We listened to Woody's tape and played billiards. Barbecue outside and then snooker and coffee. 1976	Dick and Roko over to say goodbye. Went to the school and farewelled Lusi. Moce to Iowana and Susi's mother at Burelevu. Bindrah's in Nausori for soft drinks. Checked in at Capricorn Apartments. Susi, Gail, Te and boys went swimming. Walked to the market and bought a Fijian bag and masi. Ran into Qori, an accountant for the Police. Bought mangoes, curry and roti for lunch back at the apartments. I went to Gokal's and bought a Kenwood amp and Elmo slide projector (tossed it in 2017). Back to wait for Ian who showed up with Epeli K. We drove in to pick up my purchases and Pam. Kelera and a cousin arrived. Kacis left around 6PM. Bridge in Whites' room until midnight, with dummy checking on David.	Lusi
1978	Th - Whakarewarewa hot springs park in Rotorua. Saw the Maori reserve (washing machine), geysers and Pa (ticket and video). Waimangu Valley (ticket). Long walk down. Gail and Te stopped at Fry Pan couldron. Ne, Mom and I carried on another two miles in search of remnants of the now extinct limestone terraces. Hard long walk back up. Rotorua for a snack at the Heidleberg Coffee Lounge. Went through the shops. Mom bought a nice mace (potu) and we bought her a large kiwi. Government Gardens. Finally to the lakeshore to feed the black swans. Back to our cabin at Fisherman's Lodge where I barbequed steaks and hot dogs down by the children's playground. Met the Robinsons who volunteered their bach for us to use. Tonight it was Te in the tent with me.
1981	M - At 9:15AM I got a pain in the stomache which quickly moved to my back. Went to the nurse where I laid in fetal position while I got chilled and then hurt all over. Gradually the pain subsided. Nurse, Sandy, thought it might be kidney so I saw Dr Roberts at 11:40AM. There was blood in my urine, so he agreed that it probably was kidney, but mild (I hate to think what not mild is like). Had an ice cream cone for lunch to cheer me up. Bob Hansen called from Towns and we talked sports for an hour.
1984	Christmas card from Inez's friend, Fran M. I had sent her one of my homemade ones because she likes them.
1985	Sa - Gail brought kids (photo - nother one photo) and Swansons to Skatetime. We gave Amy the jewelry box for her birthday. Supper at McDonald's then dropped the kids off at Swansons and they stayed overnight. Gail and I went to Lesser's for Trivial Pursuit with a nice Chateau Rovergue Bordeaux.	Ne & Amy
1991	Postcard from Trish. Whites. Spent the day in the garage visiting Chris Scott and his Rotuman wife, Emi. Bobby and Shardu dropped in with strawberries they had just picked. Went for a walk along the railway tracks and checked out the BMX park.
1993	Sanders over for our Christmas get together: jarts, a meal (very good Wente Bros '90 Zinfandel and an excellent Babich '92 Fume Vert) and Guiness Book game.
1994	Sanders, without Lia over. Mike went to a Tough Love meeting. When he returned we played jarts, had a meal (with an excellent '92 Montana Cab Sav/Merlot) and looked at home videos (VG '91 Matua Cab Sav).
1995	Kathy S visited. Van failed because I left the side mirror (not permanent) and back seat (illegal seat belts) in. Ian (big wound on head when he walked into an open window edge) used our car to bring Steve to airport to pick up Sally.
1997	Su - Ne called from France, sounding much happier. Gail called Joyce to wish her a happy birthday.
1998	M - MRI of my ears - 20 minutes inside the tube. Stuck my credit cards into shoe with metal objects. Went to KMart to buy light fixure and shade for front hall. Couldn't find my credit card to pay. Stolen? Back at car I checked my shoe and there it was. Gail and I went to Clark's at 2:30PM and met the dogs Clan and Max who apparently weren't much help moving 15 black sheep to Loveday's. Had a meal on deck with an excellent Nobilo '96 Sauvignon Blanc.
1999	Laps. Ian over for a swim and I joined him. Whites over in evening for bridge.
2001	Built a sandbox and set it up on the pool courtyard. I helped John with his "let's get clover back into the pastures" campaign. Gail and I went to Clark's with Doug. Gin & tonic and then a Miranda White Shiraz, Sauvignon Blancs from Corbans and Duke & Cook saving the best for the meal out on the deck: Babich Fume Vert and an excellent Babich '96 Pinot Noir. A Johanneshof '95 red dessert wine followed by a Drambuie with coffee. Charlotte spent a good deal of time explaining her pony Soyx and horses in general, to me.	Charlotte with Soyx and Lily
2002	Sa - Peter dropped a bottle of his home-made Limoncello.
2004	email from Nick - tractor stuck in stream and covered at high tide. Brundell arrived in tears - his hard drive is dead and he took a beating on Flowerzone shares. Lent him my laptop. Ian back from his tiki tour of Northland. email from Yuki advising that she arrives on 1st Feb but can't go surfing because she is 20-something.
2007	Gail and I went to Clarks - Trish and David had brought scraps for the pigs. Had Wendy's with Ne before going to Mike's for TP with Ann H and Russell.
2008	Whites over for bridge with a $5 ham.
2011	W - Tony Nelson visited. Whites over for first bridge game in 8 months. Ian and I won both rubbers.
2017	Th - Mike and Laurel (half an hour early) over for the first time. He knew Don Rolle.
2023	Th - Heavy rain all day. So every tourist is off to Bayfair. So cars were backed up to Girven. I ended up parking a block away to get to SpecSavers in time. Convinced Ian to give me my previous prescription. Janet spent a long time doing it and I chose new frames. Got soaked on the way back to the car.
