28th	29th	30th
1968	South Dakota to get firecrackers and bottle rockets - I spent $15.45. On the way there we stopped at Jeanie's and had lunch. They thought Steve's VW was cool. We stopped at Jerry's on the way back set up camp by the ditch, had supper there and put on a fireworks display for the family. Steve M and I slept in the tent; Kincy, Steve N and Mark slept in the back of a pickup, but Kincy's snoring forced the others to the VW.
1972	Rajendra and Gurmal Singh visited.
1973	Bought a billiards table - as an anniversary gift to ourselves.
1975	Honeywell/roommate reunion at Minnehaha Falls. Darrell, Storlie, Don (Shelby and kids) and Les. Rained so we moved into a shelter. Was short but good to see them again. Klybergs walked around with us - falls gushing. He came over to 1918 and bought tiles and mom's records.
1979	F - Drove to Auckland to see movie version of Middle-Age Spread at the Wintergarden. Gail stopped-started with the manual shift on a hill at parking ramp. PSIS froze funds, $1000 of which is ours [ed. - we eventually got our money back in 1985 without any interest].
1988	OZ trip: Adelaide with Heasleys. Go to Trip Report. Postcard to Lesser.
1989	Drove to Centron where Mike gave me a tour and introduced me to Irene, Kath and Jenny. Plusone for lunch. I had pickled herring and then prawn in a ginger sauce with an Italian tortini for dessert. Had a '87 Checchi chianti to go with it.
2012	F - OSV restuarant for fish 'n chips. Sat with Dorothy and Ron Whorksey (doesn't drink tea or cofee and doesn't eat desserts). Met Mike O'Boyle and Jan Gilberston.
2014	Su - Watched Warriors beat 2nd place Panthers (highlights).
2016	W - Park Street where Makala did the diabetes eye thing. Then Tauranga library for the first time.
2018	F - Russell and I got to the stadium with minutes to spare. I shouted chicken and chips. Warriors lost 18 - 15 only because refs allowed last minute try (forward pass) to the Sharks. It was another game where the refs made non-stop biased calls against us. Old guy in front was very cheerful and supportive of every thing that went on. Fireworks at halftime. Got home at 1AM.
2020	M - Close game of Lancaster. Watched St Kilda blow up reigning champs Richmond 93 - 67 (highlights).
2024	Sa - Drove through rain to get to Russell and then the stadium where there was no rain for the duration. Tried hot (spicy) chicken in a bun which wasn't very good. But the Warriors were, beating Brisbane 32 - 16, with a couple tries denied by the bunker ref (highlights). Fireworks at halftime (Matariki). Had a chance to speak to James who has a job in an old mine being converted into a power generator. Very foggy drive home in 6°C temp. At Tauriko a drunken fool hit the car side window.
