1960	Watched State High School Basketball: Richfield 77 - Granite Falls 50 (Davis had 40 and was player of the tournament) for third place.
1971	F - Made a tape (15Mb) describing the day and more.
1972	Birthday party at Simon's with McIntyres, Birches, Hargrove and Boardman. Watching an Elvis movie, "Live a Little, Love a Little", and Colleen over to complain about the noise.
1974	Science went to the waste land behind the school [ed. - by the 80's there were houses] for a field study - found blackberries. Carla Yerkovich knocked a tooth out of Richard Hood. Breeze's for Simon's birthday and we stayed to watch MAS*H.
1976	Debbie Grey (played on Leeds) wandered into my radio class. Read them Paul's letter and discussed what we will do for the year. Miss Baas did another boring lesson on sets. Frances D had the cheek to ask me to buy a ticket to the Comrades social. Nicola Hoffman in for help at lunch on simultaneous equations.
1978	Easter - Kids found bunny foot tracks leading them to chocolate in their baskets. Auckland and looked at model trains. McDonalds lunch at the Domain (map) where it was Kite Day (photo - video). Sanders over for meal with an excellent '76 Corbans Siebel 54 and a '77 Delegates Riesling Sylvaner.
1980	W - McDonald's (have drive-thru service now) - tried a cherry pie.
1981	Th - Heard my first Weird Al Yankovich song: Another One Rides the Bus.
1985 typical	T - Last day at The St Paul Companies. Chris took photos of me with each member of the group. Kathy said they will buy the car and they are interested in the house! Chris, Steiner and I went to the Iron Horse in Dayton's for lunch. I had a cajun serloin. It came with a crawdad on rice, so we brought it back and I put it into the doughnut box. Gave Steiner a certificate for having the most coffee cups on his desk. Swapped NZ coins for Yugoslavian with Frank (certificate). After work, Mehus(certificate), Steiner, Chris (certificate) and I went out for drinks at the New Raddison. A friend of Chris', Mary Jane, joined us. Left at 6:45PM when I remembered that we had a going away party at Blue Birds.	Gail Debby Bruce
1989	Karioitahi with Whites for some good surfing on an uncrowded beach. Tennis ball French cricket (video) then Waiuku for bridge.
1998	Th - Laure brought Tatiana Strang (Brazil), Ong B (Thailand) and Jo Katz (Argentina) in at lunch to get email setup for them. How strange, including Ve Menzel (Brasil), that the most of girls from South America are of German decent.	Jo
2005	Paul and Irene's where we ran into Kathy S (Lia has changed her name to Alexandra). Met Paul's workmates and wives - Graeme from So Africa (been to CHCH to see Neil Diamond), Frank and Cheryl from England, Darryl; Nancy and Paul (been to Austin to see Robert Plant). Drank a wonderful 2001 McLaren Vale CabSav-Merlot while sitting out back overlooking the muddy harbour. AJ's Walter the Farting Dog was a big hit.
2013	T - Remember when tea was tea? Today I had a Lipton's vanilla Chai latte.
2020	Th - Day 1 of Lockdown. Crashed for a couple hours (flu - corona?).
2023	Su - Left at 12:21AM and got to Russell's at 2:20PM. He wasn't there, so I read a book until he showed up at 2:30PM. His sister Linda has stored a camper in his yard and the house was full of books that someone dumped on him. Once we were set and leave he goes back to the Bowling Club. I waited in car for 5 minutes, got out and watched an end, back to car to read until 3:09PM when he returned. He is the bar manager and he had to close it before we could head out. The traffic was backed up to Bombay (worst ever), so we got to the stadium 20 minutes after the start. To make matters worse, we were the last car to get into the lot and had to park furtherest end. Then my pass wouldn't scan taking three minutes to get in. So we missed the first 30 minutes of the game and the Warriors were behind 8 - 0. But in the end Warriors won 16 - 14 thanks to a Shaun Johnson try and goal in last minutes. There were a couple vapers in front of us. Peter got one to stop.
2024	T - email to Leland. Woolies for Easter shop. Shots and then 34OC to do a load of stones and work on front door. Wacthed Saints upset champs Pies 93 - 79. Gym and pool (10).
