1971 Beautiful: boys playing guitars at back of house, Phil's motorcycle out front, Ram's sister strolling about in a beautiful sari, cats and Ghetto sleeping together in livingroom.
1981 Sa - High = 73°F. Scout Expo '81 at Maplewood Mall. Saw how to make rope out of twine, tasted colored bread, saw seeds being grown in their packet. Plenty of games to try and samples to have. David made a clown face and was given a bag of popcorn for doing it. He did an exercycle test and got a balloon. I took a quiz on fire safety and got them all right, much to the boy's amazement. Gail got a helium balloon from the Girl Scouts. David had his first go trying to ride his two-wheeler - best he could do was about three times around on the pedals.
1985 Th - Movers, Terry and Jerry, arrived about 9:30AM and we desparately tried to keep ahead of them. Sue Kainz dropped in with a gift and card from PTO. Filled 2/3rd of container in 6 hours. David was given 2 books by Mrs Mayer and the class. She will really miss him. I had the kids give out NZ pennies to their classmates. Todd and Cory G gave David a Lego set.
Corey - Todd
1987 Found a drum set for sale in paper, so took back seat out of car and she and David got it for $420. Aldersons stopped in with David Stephen (his 1st visit anywhere).
1992 James Mitchell came around 3:30PM and we played Jarts with Ne. He installed Windows 3 onto our computer. Jon Slaughter over for the night. After supper we played Magic: Arabian Nights role playing game.
2003 Ne and I drove around Mangakino and checked properties, then the beach where 7 kids were fishing. Also drove to three electro-dams to see what sort of fishing might be done. Took the back roads through Arapuni to Putaruru and on to Tirau which is about the coolest town I have seen for a long while. Checked out antique stores and got ice cream (honey and ginger). Shops a bit ritzy for the likes of me, but I did find a Goofy postcard at Oxford Court. Chatted with Antiques@Tirau's barefoot owner, Murray, about his lamps. He puts up 8 each day. Long drive from there hitting Hamilton rush hour traffic, then heavy rain in the dark. Gail was farewelled by Sandspit staff. Bouquet and two ceramic pots.

2009 In to see Gail. Trish and David were there. Paul and Irene had been earlier. Jackie and Brad then appeared. I was off to the Warriors game. Sat with Owen and Rollie since Ann and Russell were off to see "My Fair Lady". 24,000 expentant fans after winning first two games. But Brisbane was too fast for us and it was an ugly 26 - 10 defeat. On the plus side, I used the sports radio and listened to the TV broadcast. Kara Gordon Trio played (same set as last year).
2016 M - Left at 11AM and joined the Easter traffic heading to Auckland. 11 minutes to get through Matamata. An extra 45 to reach Papakura. Russell (in his 20 Year Member hero jacket) and I were in time to see second half of Under 20s error filled game. 15% surcharge on food had people without enough...another long line. Warriors playing last place Knights tied at half. Skycity put on an Arabian half-time entertainment. The boys went on to win 40 - 18 (highlights). Still non-stop traffic going into Auckland and I was in a line heading south at 7PM.
2017 T - Gail went to Flattery's Meet n Greet.
2019 Th - David arrived at 5PM in time for a hamburger supper. He chose to play Terraforming - Ne's least favorite game after Formula D. After pumpkin pie we showed him AZUL which he won with the highest score ever.
2021 Su - Watched 2nd half of Warriors victory over Raiders. Trailing 25 - 6 they got a 3 point lead, and then with only seconds left Tuivasa-Scheck knocked the ball out of Raider's hand as he tried to score (highlights).
