1969	Hawaii - Peace Corps Training. Details in Peace Corps Journal.
1970	Saw Vanua Levu for the first time. Went on Dick's boat with David, Kelera and Gurmit a couple miles up the coast. Radio reception was fantastic so I stayed up until midnight listening to KDAY out of LA. From letter to Gail: "Just hearing American programs is great, but to hear all the songs of my past is too much. I am really blowing my mind. I think the thing I miss most is KDWB. When I get back I am going to sit and listen to my records and radio for a month before I do anything else."
1975	Town's neighbors were TP'd last night. Lunch with Joyce, then bridge with mom. Newstroms: Had a drink in their finished off basement, then a meal with a good white Muller-Thurgau. Gave them an Irish Mist and we sampled it. Looked at our slides of Fiji and NZ.	Grayce - Flicka
1984	Th - Gail and I went to Ponderosa Steak House with Streasicks.
1986	Sa - Auckland to pick up Jane and Asaichi at Travellodge and bring them home. Asaichi big hit of the tour group by eating ice cream all the time. They gave us macadamian nuts and jellies. Also brought us 3 jars of nuts from Rachel Sato. Gave Asaichi a Papakura hat and a paua kiwi pin to Jane. Chat about their trip, tour of yard and lunch. Stopped at Onehunga and left Gail to watch Ne who had gone to the Auckland Gymnastics Championships with Szabos. Brought Fujiokas to their hotel and then returned to Onehunga. Ne placed 8th and her team was 3rd.
1991	25" of snow in Mpls, so mom very worried that Bob would not get to the airport. We dropped Joyce off at Jan's, then airport. The pilots for her plane were delayed but she was able to get onto a plane that was leaving straight away. Back to Prescott around 7:30PM. Dad called and we had a long talk about Vienna (he wants to go there).
1995	W - First ever email to me (from Woody).
2008	Got to the hospital around 3PM. Sandy Clark had been before me. Had a chance to catch up with Gail before Ann and Mike H arrived. Tobi (Yank Sandspit teacher) lugged in her harp and proceeded to play. An English geezer, been here 4 years, kept telling her how beautiful it was - and it was. A very haggard Trish popped in with a coffee cup and three bottles of drinking water. Fed Gail supper and we watched the news (Joan/Elaine/Kathy paying for 4 days of TV).
2010	M - Gail tore a chunk of her leg out in the garden and we forced to see the doctor and it was a 7 stitch job.
2011	T - Gail went to art for the first time and ended up being filmed for a TV segment on a local show: whole thing 160Mb - just Gail 1.5Mb.
2024	F - Played Terraforming Mars with 3D tiles for the first time with a break for takeaways (from photo). I went across road to check uot the Papamoa Surf Life Savers setup. Then we had strawberry shortcake for dessert.
