Afternoon off so went to Suva with Whites. Ran into Seni and she showed me the silver medal for the 1500m she won at Tahiti. |
1975 |
David and I walked to the Post Office. Bradley met us and gave David a ride home in a wagon. Before we could get into the house a Mr Quinnemone, a 77 year-old retired PT, told me his life story and his evil father.
He said that diet is the most important part in his treatments and absolute silence while he is working on the patient. David was in the wagon for the hour that I stood listening. |

Sa - Lesser's. Tom and I went to CUB to get the wedding cake while Gail and kids had a swim in indoor pool and soak in jacuzzi.
Kids played kick ball with John Bassett and his girls until guests arrived. Changed into our fancy duds. I did a toast. |

1987 |
Evening with the Lees - Gail made a nice meal. It was
the last NZ meal as they fly to Australia tomorrow and we had a pinot noir to help the sad celebrations. |
1988 |
Went to grand opening of Choice Market. It was only half completed at best and had a boring feel to it dispite the large crowd. Gail and Renee went to Albany to pick up a $350 apricot toy poodle we have named Chardonnay (video). Breezes came for a meal, videos and slides. Had a lousy Le Piat D'Or red and an ok-ish Karlsburg 87 Gewurtztraminer. |

1992 |
Trish called. Doug caught a thief at surgery and physically held him until police arrived. |
1994 |
Clarks over for croquette and a meal with a good '91 Maglieri CabSav. Charlotte all over and into everything. Sandy in a sculpture club making purchases and not creating.
Mike chairman of Pukekohe race track. He is all over NZ looking for sites for 100 Georgie Pie stores and hopes to get the Burger King account. |
1997 |
W - Day 79 of our 3 month journey around the world. See 1997 Trip Photo Journal.

2002 |
We picked Louise up at Gutzke's and brought her to the Lindberg Airport for her flight back to Virginia. Chris' for lunch, a nap and shrimp creole for supper. And the big finale - Twins 4-3 victory over Indians in the ninth (Box Score). Lively navy group below us on
3rd base side. First time for Celia. We were given commemorative team photo and they unveiled the A.L. Central Division Championship banner. Liked the "kiss-cam" when fan couples had to kiss when on screen. |

2011 |
Sa - Up at 7:30AM and the driveway was packed with people waiting for 8AM start. Gail opened the door at 7:45AM and by 8:05AM most things were sold. Ian, Kelcie and Joan came by to help out (she sold my brand new line trimmer ($265) for $5. I had $150.00 on it).
Sold all of the dressors and small furniture. Fellow who bought the sideboard and large painting also took five fish for his pond. His neighbor came along later to help shift stuff turned out to be the guy who laid carpet for us.
Also a couple families of children Gail taught and the British lady who looked at the house came along. Some stragglers up until around 10AM and then it was dead. We cleared $400 and got rid a lot of stuff. Heather Wells bought David's bed.
Ian and Kelcie (in a Russell Athletic sweatshirt) over. Had an excellent Jacob's Creek 2008 Shiraz-Grenache-Sangiovese and a so-so Morton Estate '09 Pinot Noir while playing Dominion. |
