23rd January 24, 1970
There are now Volunteer Service Abroad people (from New Zealand) staying at NTC.  I had great fun acting as an old Fiji-hand.  They are straight out of high school and very naive in the ways of the world.  I spent the next days saying goodbye to friends as they left for their sites.  Some went out by ship and others were picked up.  Tom and Gene moved to their house in Nausori and Mark went to live with them until school started.  I went out in a cab with them and helped cart Mark's stuff.  We played some mean New York style pinochle until 9:30PM when I caught the last bus back.

And this will bring an end to my journal diary section.... Moce
