Tech Studies  I was with Bob Piper, Bob Daniel, Jim Hoffsis, the Perrys, Frank Thomas, Tom Van Loan and Barb Mutz. Our fearless (also hopeless) leader was Herb Retsky, a RPCV from the Phillipines. He was a teacher supervisor so he should have been good in training us, right? Wrong. I did learn a lot about how to bore a class. We had hundreds of handouts, books to read and gave lessons to each other. And through this all he just couldn't lead an intelligent conversation. Probably because we didn't want to have one. [ed. - I now know that the worst adult classes I have tutored were the ones that had two or more teachers as students]. The Perrys gave Herb heartburn, I am sure. Fran would usually get ill for that time period and Bryce just stopped coming and went to the Science group on his own without permission. Went through the New Math syllabus, giving practice lessons. We had to do a lot of explaining to the older folks who hadn't been exposed to it.
Today was rabies shot (experimental, we PCVs being the guinea pigs).
