1961	High = 54°F. Farm for grandparents' 40th Anniversary. Men sat in the garage drinking beer from a keg. Cousins Steve and Mark played softball with me and Chris. 23 cars in the yard. Spoke to Roseanne. After meal Steve and I listened to the men talk about world conditions. Jerry gave us some pumpkins. Talked to Father Pistulka and he brought up that he knew Zetah (who used to live by Bechyn) and he also knows Father Clay [ed. - St Peter's in Richfield]. Grandpa had found my homeplate and I brought it home.

1971	Yaqona ceremony for Brigadier-Colonel Aiken at school. Ken and I took pics from the library. Ian and I went to Murphy's where we met Trish's parents and down a few beers. At 2PM we went to the rara and observed the cadets parade out. The Fiji Military Forces band was very impressive. The boys put on a good show. 1973	My normal daily readings: a chapter of a novel, write a letter, read, Newsweek, misc mag and Playboy.
1983	Sa - Helped Rollie carry a davenport to his basement. Bought fish for aquarium. Ne went to a birthday party for classmate, Jenny. Target where Te got a winter jacket with removable sleeves. Supper at Towns and left kids there. Watched Bowery Boys and SNL.
1988	Mike and girls came over to build a putt putt course in the back yard and then play it. Tried to, as Alex was hanging onto Mike's leg and Sophie kept picking the balls up. (video-pt 1 - video-pt 2). We had a dry '85 St Nesbit and I couldn't understand what the big deal was.
2000	Su - Walked along Pukeware Rd with Ian and Susi. We all had a swim. Brundell over for supper (excellent Woodley '98 Shiraz/CabSav).
2002	Picked up a Chevy Metro LSI at Enterprize. Ne drove it, following me to New Ulm. Joyce had a lovely German meal for us - with very hot (spicy) sausage.
2005	Had Needhams and Clarks over so Mike and Bob could talk racing. Also Canadian Thanksgiving for Elaine. Had the Cappel's Jackson Estate 2004 SV (rich and zesty), Saint's 2002 Shiraz (full bore peppery) and a lovely Corbans 2004 CabSav that was beautiful.
2011	Sa - Paul and Irene (first visitors) came at 11AM and were impressed the size of everything. Couple hours visiting. Marie dropped in with a check for the outdoor set and stayed for coffee and a nice visit. Put Gail's desk together and it is just too big for the guest room.
