Stephanie decided that after 4 years with the Malleys she needed a change of scenery… and what a view she now enjoys
from her small self-contained one room unit high up over Papakura on Ponga Road.
She is off to France for her sister’s wedding in July and will be there for a few months — who knows, maybe when she returns she’ll be back at Chateau Malley again.

We didn’t “go away” this summer, instead we did a few local area events.
Family spent an evening at Treasure Island Golf near the airport.
The fellow said: "That's 3 adults and one...." and he could tell from our looks that all of us must be adults (happens to Ne, age 28 all the time).
Did the Capt Kidd's Course first (which takes you onto a ship and David won with a 44.
Then we did Blackbeard's Course (through a cave)
that proved easier for us with hole-in-one by each of us except David. I made par and won the round.
Gail, Ne and I went to MOTAT (Museum of Transport and Technology) to check out the Disney
toy collection gathered from NZ. Spent an hour viewing the items, and yes Goofy was in the minority (no one asked me to share my Goofy stuff!)
Gail and I went to the annual Pacifica festival held at Western Springs in Auckland. We spent 3 hours walking around the lake.
Enjoyed the lively and colorful Tuvalu group, watched Samoan dancers
and ended at the Fijian area where a singing group from Naitesiri performed with young dancers, shyly doing their routine.
I'd say the crowd of 50,000 was 90% islanders, 8% white and 2% Asian.
