Hiked up to the swimming hole with students (Saiasi, Pita, Jona N, Otintai, Jimione, Sakeo, Peceli, Akariva and Kalaveti), the Dirty ¾ Dozen. Bob only went halfways when rain hit and he went off to Levuka. We decided to stop at the pump house where we collected all sorts of seeds for science class.
Back at 1PM and the boys came in and we listened to the Fiji National Athletic meet. Sakaraia won the hurdles. Couple Indian boys came by looking for beer. They told me that Taru had run away from home. |

Trish called to wish me well on my first day. Keys from Don Rolle, pay paperwork with Anne Fawcett, then morning tea where Des introduced me to the staff.
Sat with Lendrum. First cry for help was from Mike Williams and careers computers. Began the big cleanup in the office which I share with Nick duFresne. Des gave me a few jobs. He also gave me a Mac lesson. |

Aldies. Played pool and buckets, then cake and gifts. Gail got a pottery vase and two ducks. David loved his top, pens, lightup pegboard and bubble maker (video). Pool is down. Doug didn't put sand under it and it has about 30 holes in the base.

Warriors performance against Newcastle Knights losing 32 - 14. Saw the warmup game, kiddies' game, cheerleaders' dance. People in the stands below us are always interesting to watch also. |

Clark's, where I met Sophie's guy, Luke (plays basketball). Supper with them. Alex got merit credits for her math test and everyone pleased.
We began looking at exponents and simple algebra. |

Hauraki (a rock station) played a John Denver song and other C&W songs slipped in as an April Fools thingie. Had a lot of people complaining. |

Th - Word from Cheryl that Joyce in ICU and won't be able to live unassisted anymore, so we made preparations for Gail to leave for Minnesota. |

Su - McLaren Falls Park with Smithers. Men scampered on the rocks and we watched a boat of rafters set off. While Gail cooked hamburgers we walked to the waterfall.. |
