18th	19th	20th
1973	Rented Roy Johnson's bike at lunch and rode to the Y where 12 boys had a practice. Got back only to find out that it wasn't a long lunch and so we were late. Up to Y where Mike G was working out. After supper Mike and I went through my PC journal.
1975	Left David with Mariasouccé for the weekend and then Sanders dropped Lia off with Yearburys. Drove north, stopping in Dargaville to get pop and further up the road we had a picnic lunch. Had a quick look at the "Kauri House", with its 7 chimneys [ed. - nowadays its a lodge]. Next stop was Trounson Kauri Park where we did a walk and saw these giants of the forest. Special stop to see Tane Mahuta in Waipoua Forest Sanctuary. Got to Paihia in the dark (6PM) and finally found a room at Everglades. We ate at the Swiss Maid where I had a cordon blu. Checked out the pub and had a drink and got a bottle of wine to bring back to the room. Watched 5 Card Stud. (Trip Photos)	7 Chimneys Trounson Kauris
1978	W - Parent Interviews until 8:30PM. In addition to my current students' parents I had chats with Mrs Hitchcock, Ngaire Mason, Mrs Park, Mrs Burnett and Mr Trombik.
1983	T - Chuck and Inez over for a meal. Chuck related many stories about their neighbors. How Howard complains about the drunken hillbillies. Gail put too much wine in the chicken and it came out purple.
1985	F - San Fran Airport Flew United to Honolulu - rented two headsets and figured out a way all four of us could use them to watch "Protocol". Rode a "wiki-wiki" to main terminal and flew Mid-Pacific (prop plane) to Hilo that took an hour and the locals were complaining about how long it took. Rainy and mug-g-g-gy in Hilo. Got a Toyota Tercel from Hertz. Called Jane (15¢) then drove around Hilo to our old haunts only to find them closed, or dead and dirty. Bums all over. Whole city looked dirty. Quick stop at Liliuokalani Park. Several stops in an attempt to get a gift for Fujiokas - ended up buying a bouquet. Drove to Ookala. Stopped to get a photo of the sugar mill when a woman brandishing a hoe came babbling on about God. Made it to Fujioka's and Rachel Sato arrived about the same time. She was full of funny stories including sliding down Mauna Kea snow on cardboard [ed. - she would have been in her late 50's]. Paul over from Honolulu. Spent evening visiting, had a meal and looked at photos. They won a Dodge Caravan in Jan and hadn't used it yet. Ann had a son, Ryan.	Hilo Jane and Rachel Paul
2002	13 javelinas showed up looking for food. Gail spent afternoon with Joyce who says she is in hell. Joyce got a pillow in mail made by a Lisa in No Dakota.
2004	Whites left at 10AM. We stopped in Whangarei for food and flat white at "Coffee and Collectibles". I had the most beautiful looking and tasting waffles smothered with whip cream, banana, kiwi fruit and pineapple.	Waffles
2009	Montgomeries arived at 4PM. Jason looked like a different person, having put on a lot of weight. I played Skunk with 8 yr old Max while 8 month old Grace was into everything.
2012	Th - Went to McLaren Falls Park with Whites. After the rock scrambling we went to the same bay as last time with Ian and noted that the lake level was quite low. Hand of bridge while Steve and Christian were kayaking. After lunch Ian and I went up the river. He went left and found the gorge and I went right.
2020	Su - Day 25 of LockDown. Slept from 1PM to 8PM. After telling Gail not to, she stripped the mandarin tree.
2021	M - Emery arrived fresh from touring Morrinsville.
