1970	Took the ferry, Blue Lagoon, to Levuka on Ovalau. Boat was escorted by dolphins in front and flying fish astern. I was met there by Frank Thomas and I stayed with them. They were living with the Headmaster, Terry Donnelly, a very revered man in the islands. He had come out of retirement in New Zealand to run LPS until a new head could be found. He was very formal and we had a dull meal together. Bette and Frank both had to do lesson plans in the evening under his guidance. They had been allowed to take me for a guided tour around Levuka and their school. I spent the afternoon setting up the stage. I was put up in the house girl's quarters, so I was essentially alone. 1975	Brought a load of goodies to Lucy. Mike picked up desk and bookcase for storage in his garage. Bakkers over for 500 - they played poorly with Rudy telling Jocelyn what to do all the time.
1985 ACS	F - Susi and I took the bus to Nausori so I could get more cash and mail off a box to NZ. Bought supplies at Morris Hedstroms. Market where Susi and I sat for two hours with her sister, Ilena, while waiting for Ian. She sells kava, so I learned all about yaqona (waka is the roots and lewena is chips). Drove over to say "hi" to Jeneti and meet her children Seneti and Jo. She gave us a big tapa. Made up a packet of breakfast crackers and Kraft cheese to send to Hoffsis' friends in San Francisco. 1988	Back to work and I was hit on all sides work diary and summary. Once again I had to sort out the DW4 mess for Ian. Prepared Neil's accounting system for use. Negotiated his future employ with his boss. Graeme Stebbing brought his first delivery for BSS. Watched Jumping Jack Flash. Slippery When Wet album by Bon Jovi and Rock n Soul Part 1 ($11.50 ea) by Hall and Oates came.
1992	Awhitu: Soccer. Walked out to Kauritutaha Island only an island when tide is in, eh? (video). Played baseball (video) and took a group photo (video). Left at 3:40PM when we all went home.
1996	F - Box from Hoffsis: candy, alphabet noodles and chili powder.
1997	Sa - Opoutere: Lena gave us a bitter melon to try. Her sister's husband arrived with a wild pig kill. A few of his dogs were cut badly by the pig. At the beach Ve collected shells, I gathered tuatuas to eat and the Japanese girls marvelled at how squeaky clean the sand was (especially after Karioitahi's black sand). Packed up video. On the way home we stopped for a soak at Miranda Hot Pools. Gail found out that Yuki wore a blouse and skirt over her swimsuit because she fears it may be too sexy! Aldies stopped in - turns out it's Graeme's wetsuit and not his (video).
1999	Su - Began Web Publishing class, me the student, and David is the teacher.
2001	Chris called to say that Dad had his angioplasty and will be out tomorrow. email from Sandeen confirming that he is the one I was searching out.
2007	Car spluttered and died opposite Glenbrook school. I walked up to BP where a Samoan couple, Peter and Noelini, (from Waihi working in Pukekohe) gave me a lift home. Called AA and Gail drove us back to the car. David, from Neil's Auto, couldn't get it going so we towed it to the shop.
2008	Gail, David and I went to Awhitu park and strolled the beach and trails with just a slight rainfall for a time. After a fish n chips supper we played a couple games of Chinese Checkers.	island
2011	T - David stuffed two suitcases with his belongings. Whites over with Liti for a short visit. After supper Ian came over for Dominion.
