1971	Joseva and Tevita up to work on jigsaws. Murphy brought up my very first hot cross bun". Went down there for supper (beautiful chicken) with a chocolate cake.
1975	A Tongan fellow bought the typewriter I have had since 1958.
1976	Bev Reid called: Jack had quit, so I'm in charge of Papakura Basketball.
1977	Drove out to Hunua Falls and Wairoa dam and to Paparimu. We stopped on the way there at a roadside smaller falls (photo) with an abandoned car at the bottom. Aldersons over (with their lawn mower) for Skunk and Jeopardy after Doug and I listened to my 1965 45s.
1980	W - 5" of snow, but we drove south anyway. Looked at Faribault and stopped in Owatanna to talk to Minnesota Jobs Corps. There weren't any in area for someone with my high qualifications. So that ended our dream of living in a small town and we headed for Rochester where we had a meal in a restaurant in Cedar Mall. Found Acme Employment Agency and Bob Eddingsaas said he had a possiblity. While he checked we went to the Chamber of Commerce and got blurbs about the area. Bob said "they" were interested - they have given up finding someone with experience and are willing to train someone like me. I changed into my 3 piece suit in his office. Fellow at Crenlo, Marvin Wagner, liked me and told me to come back tomorrow to meet the deputy-comptroller. So we stayed at a Holiday Inn ($39). Got a book on COBOL at Apache Mall. Picked up supper at McDonald's and had a Gionelli Lambrusco with it.
1982	F - Anchor Inn where for $7.95 you could have anything on the menus many times as you wish. I had shrimp, then frogs legs and fish. Gail had two orders of shrimp. We could have probably eaten more.
2002	Brought Gail to airport for her flight to Wellington (library course seminars over 3 days). Robyn's for a meal and make a start on fixing her computer.
2009	Brought Gail home from Middlemore stopping at Burger King (burger with onion rings inside it). Home at 6PM and Gail had to do her PICC thing.
2016	Sa - Went to the game(s) with Russell. Had an $8 Fritz's Weiner (like a bratt). Juniors had second win of the year. Between games and at halftime they had "Pukana Cam" wich was good fun. The game wasn't - big boys got creamed by the other last place team, Manly. Gave him and James $US to use in Seattle next month.
2017	Su - Left at 11:15AM and got home at 10:15PM - so an 11 hour day for the Warriors with Russell. We watched the under-20s lose to Paramatta. Then the big boys won 22-10 (highlights). Last time seeing James so I brought along a Goofy cake and had a cuppa with him after showing Russell how to set up a group in Hotmail (he is secretary for Masons).
2022	Sa - Up at 11:30AM. email to Hansen. email to Max. email from Leland. Biked to 34OC for a little work. Watched The Confirmation and Question Team. AFL: Pies blew a 31 point lead going into the 4th term and lost to Cats by 13.
2023	Su - Played Architects of Collesium, TTR-Switz and a Column of Fire. After supper with a fantastico Codici 2019 Negroamaro we played "Lords of Waterdeep". AFL: Blues 74 - Giants 64. Watched Warriors lose to Knights 34 - 24.
