1973	Helped feed the cows. Calf was born overnight and we hauled it up to a special paddock. Four calves were dehorned by rubbing H₂SO₄ on the butts. They have a tree that died from the top downward on a night that they cows were afraid to go to their paddock after milking (UFO or a good story?). Gurmit and I rounded up the cows for milking. No dog - we used the tractor. Two big speakers and rock n roll for the cows in the milking shed. Helped vet intravenously feed a cow that had "milk fever". Helped feed the calves at the "calfeteria" and washed down the milk stalls. Visited Gary's great aunt, an ancient lady living by herself at Woodlands, huge estate and the large house built of of kauri. Watched Gary's tremendously clever and funny home movies, plus shots from a trip to Wahi. He has his own race track and does some crazy driving around the course. Builds his own racing cars, too. Stayed up until 1AM talking about rock n roll and Matchbox trucks (he has a large collection).
1975	Rosie came to tell Gail that she has the Boyd-Marietta area which means less driving. Two hour drive to Sleepy Eye. Got there in time for supper. Looked at slides until 1AM. Jeannie gave us a kolache recipe. Randy and Mary are taller than me. Lori is doing Raggedy Ann in a swim show. Gary is wild as ever.
1982	Sa - Stopped a Dairy Queen in Pine City and Ne got the strawberry sundae all over her dress. Got to Mille Lacs at 1:45PM. Chuck sleeping and ended up with Inez at the Benson's (Jan and Cliff) for iced tea. David shot his air rifle. Chuck, the kids and I went in his new Dodge Ram truck to a stream. Ne caught her first fish, a small sunny off a bridge. Rain sent us home for a supper of crappies and it stopped setting up the tent. Sugar slept in the garage and we were in the guest bedroom (I slept on the floor).
1990	Dick and I dropped rental off at Prescott airport and he showed me around the town (video). We all squeezed in for the two hour drive to Phoenix. Stopped at Sunset Point rest area overlooking Horse Thief Basin for water (video). Ended up at Christown Mall that had fantastic sand sculptures throughout (video). Then it was a trek to find the "hamburger place where they bring the food to your table". Turned out to be Carl's Jr. It was the long way back, going through the mountains via the Senator Highway and Joyce bitching about it the whole way. Non-stop hummingbirds coming to the feeders on the deck (video). Joyce taught us Pass Rummy.	Horse Thief

2002	Spent day editting Eloy's photos while all hell broke loose within the family going to doctor and dentist. Wandered about yard taking photos of the farm - sheep! Turns out that the graphics job Matt is applying for is with Creative Memories (Signe is a rep). Met Billy, the three legged border collie. Had bbq for supper with a little Ingelnook red and I was entertaining them with family stories. Had to carry Greg up from basement to do his mother's (aka Sgt. Mom) bidding. Got stuck in fixing Mike's computer and was up until 2:30AM downloading anti-virus definitions.	100 yrs old MattsPond
2010	Sa - Trish and David dropped in filled with many stories as usual. Latest being that they have a "Cambodian" and a gardener who knows nothing about gardening.
2011	Su - Newsy called. Played Dominion.
2012	T - Angi and Carl called from Mpls. Dominion. Russell called.
2013	W - Called dad and told him about the Bechyn book being sent to him. David and I won the petanque game in cold wind. Played Plethora for the first time.
