1972 Gail ordered 1# (using American symbol for pound?) and we got one carrot delivered from Wing Jang.
1973 A big storm ended our plans to go to the glow worm caves (they were flooded); especially the big tree that fell across the driveway. I helped milk the cows again. We played Monopoly until 12:30AM. The photo is Kathryn and Charlie.
1974 Breeze brought me to Open Evening at Rosehill. War Games set up in my room. Most people were in the hall (with its mutliple displays) and at the Science rooms. Didn't get many visitors stuck away in a prefab. So few people observed our math students compete in calculations using a calculator, adding machine, abacus, slide rule and by hand.

1975 Went to see Jeanie's Next-to-Nu shop with Mary and bought $4 worth of sci-fi books. Played tennis with Randy. Got a photo of their tame squirrel, with Mary. After a spaghetti meal we looked at their photos. Played Help Your Neighbor and Oh, Hell. (Photo of Dutch Elm Disease and Gary).
1976 Bensons for meal and to show slides of Minnesota and Disneyworld. Peter was trying to get his motorbike to start, Ron Garrett was welding flue piping together and also met Rex Croucher of Rex Driving School. Te loved their Lego set.
1982 Su - Had a waffle while listening to Chuck and Inez's trip to Connecticut. David got to drive Chuck's lawn mower around. Left and filled up at Garrison. Went to Paul Bunyan (or Bald Onion as Ne called it) Land in Brainerd (where everything is BIG icluding the mail box). Sugar was allowed in. Gave the kids cotton candy and put them on a train ride. Watched Mark Johnson and Rusty Hinges ventriloquist act. Played a round of mini golf. Got to Wilderness Bay on Little Mantrap Lake around 6PM. Real neat main lodge/office with so much character. We chose to stay in Squirrel's Nest cabin. Had hamburgers for supper, walked around with Sugar and brought a boat back to our dock.

1990 Jim Collins brought an upsidedown cake. Dick took us for a tour of the neighborhood and we met Colleen. Then a tour of Prescott (museum) and Hidden Valley (expensive houses in pine forest). After lunch we shopped at Ponderosa Plaza Mall. Jim and Colleen dropped in with Winky (Love Boat pilot in Alaska at $750/day) and Audrey from Tucson.

1997 F - Day 46 of our 3 month journey around the world. See 1997 Trip Photo Journal.
1998 Sa - Gail and I went to a nursery on Pollock Rd in Pukekohe and bought: Braeburn, Granny Smith, Packham pear, lemon, red grapefruit [ed. - not!], blueberry, logan berry, raspberry and red guava ($145).
2002 Found magistr virus on Mike's computer. Stayed for lunch, but then Mike had several questions about the computer so it was back to work and stayed until 4PM getting the poor old thing up to scratch. They sent me on my way to Olivia with a full tank of gas. Didn't have any problems on the way home - remembered the way.

2011 M - Gail drove me to Brightside where Ying showed us to my room, 118. The ever smiling Natasha got me organized and ready. Amanda, the anaesthesist, explained her role. Up to pre-op where John went through the checklist, again, before he brought me into the theatre. Had a chat with Wendy about being a specialized surgery nurse while being prepped for a spinal morphine shot. Next thing I know I am back in my room with Bryny taking care of me until Frank took over for the evening. He said I was the first prostate patient who came out of it joking. I had no pain and didn't even feel as if I had an operation. Night nurse, Sharon came in once an hour to check.
2014 F - Willy and perfumy Sue came for the first time and we had a great time.
2019 Th - David arrived at 4:30PM having shopped with Gail. Ne came and we played Castles of Burgundy. I then headed for the bathroom and began the colonoscopy treatment which kept me in there for 4 hours.
