Th - We drove from Matamata stopping at Taupo for lunch at McDonald's (with a DC3 next to it).
Long haul to Napier with a stop to look at Waipunga Falls. Disappointed to find our room at Albatross Motel was next to the highway and hot - no air conditioning. So I asked if they had a room with it. I also asked how much I would pay to cancel.
So Cath volunteered their office fan, which I took. Booked in for the gannets. After supper Gail and I went for a swim (coolish and shallow) and soak in the spa. I think because I complained earlier, when I asked about wireless, they gave me a $5 voucher instead of the normal $2. |
