1969	Hawaii: Details in Peace Corps Journal.
1976	Bailed hay on Alderson farm with Doug. Met brother-in-law, Paul, sister Pam and uncles John and Keith. 2 hours. Treated to strawberries.
1982	Su - Reitan's with Towns for a meal with their daughter, Sue and her son Aaron. Real nice house, garden and workshop. Warren served us an excellent Gallo Burgundy, homemade wine and a Lerouix blackberry brandy. After Towns left I had a long chat with Warren. Kids had fun with 2 yr-old and on the go Aaron.
1992	Ian and Susi dropped in with Heather and Mary for drinks, on way to the airport.
1993	Des called to say that B-Block was burnt down last night. Brought Dad to Auckland where we looked down on container wharfs from Parnell. Drove along the bays and played Putt-Putt. I had a hole-in-one on the 18th and finished with 47, ahead of the others. Drove to top of One Tree Hill where it was windy.
1997	F - Yukiko and Chihiro gave us two hagoita dolls. Neither knew that the other was doing so. They leave for Japan tomorrow.
1998	Sa - We went to Blueberry Hill in Manurewa with Aldies for a wonderful meal with an excellent '91 KWV Pinotage that Doug shouted.
2006	Brought Heather and Mary to Brundell's for a tour of the property and a cuppa.
2008	Brought a load of school stuff to Sandspit and picked up as much to take home. Gail had question session with her class. She was given cards and gifts. A mother gave her a poinsetta. Another mother drove quickly through the carpark flashing her lights as we were driving out - was the lady who helps with Maori and Gail got out to give her a hug. We stopped at Mitre 10 and Gail went in - a worker (another mother) there gave her a great big hug.
2009	Sa - Had a game at Par 2. Gail began with a hole-in-one, but David and I tied for the win, three ahead of her (photo). Drove up Bluff Hill, which gave a view of West Shore and the port activities, but not of Napier or southward. Dropped David off at the Park and then Gail and I walked around City Centre and had lunch at Sushiya. Gail and I had a swim and soak. Picked up David who was at the cricket test.	West Shore
2011	M - Gave Smithers a tour of the facilities. Boys were dropped off for supper with us and a couple games of Alhambra.
2012	W - Afternoon tea at Anna's with Ash and Alan. Lovely apple flan and a great tiramisu sponge.
2022	M - Biked to 34OC where Glen replaced the sorely burnt out element on the hot water cylinder. Birthday card from Newsy. Finished watching "Breaking Bad" DVDs. David has Covid so I sent him a message.
2023	T - Picked up Gail from hospital (she had an ultrasound and CT of lungs and had an iron infusion) at 4:30PM, dropped her off at Farm St so she could drive the Platz home and I then did grocery shopping and bought an oximeter.
