1975 Auckland Anniversary Day so stores are closed. Chris, from Flat 1, gave us her goldfish to watch the next week while she is away. Heasley arrived on his way to Fiji. Gave us a masi made by Apete V's mother and a book on the South Pacific.
1976 School: Took shots from 11AM to noon. Perry gave me a lift home. Walked back to school and worked on Stationery with Sue. Beckingsale informed me that I had no form class and would be sharing an office in S-Block. He gave me a tour of the building. On my way home I ran into Colin McLaren and Murray Reed. Dickson girls brought ice blocks and their Bay City Rollers album to play to Te. Jocelyn Bakker and her sister, Judith Tunley, came for a visit. Ngaire Mason brought a pram and push chair that we had found via the newspaper and Gail was using it to go to the dairy where I met them on my way home. Sanders brought my desk and bookcase.

1977 Morning with Lamorna and Diana doing stationery prep. Trish and Doug over for slides and they taught David to stick out his thumb and say "Nice One".
1983 Th - Newspapers (computer jobs in OZ) and letter from Tobler. Julie Thoms and Stephie V watched the kids while we were at Shusterich's for sweet and sour and then bridge.
1985 Su - Bowling at Blackbeards in St Paul Park. I started off with a turkey then 4 splits and ended up with 199.
1990 I went to K Valley. Gail and boys just returning from Edwards lookout. They had set up camp in Wainaro right by the stream. After lunch and hearing about their adventures the kids and I did a 6 hour tramp up Webb Creek over to Billy Goat Falls. Had lunch at makeshift camp and after a rest we went down via the swing bridge. Kauri stump photo

1991 Met Whites at Glenbrook Vintage Train - which is much bigger and better than when we were last there in the 70's. Played a couple rounds of golf. Karioitahi with all of the Whites for some great surfing. Gail and I walked to the waterfalls. Soak in Whites' inground pool, then supper there.
1994 School with Ne to work on computers. Robson was showing the Board of Governors president, Jane Papesch, around and he was impressed that we knew each other. Doug over with Jimi Hendrix LP which we blasted while playing Scattergories.
2000 Th - Drove to Nick's and walked to beach. Ernie in hospital with blood poisoning. They are building a new 4 bedroom house. Senad and Titania walked down to the bird sanctuary, while I went to get the van. I backed into a driveway and ended up in the ditch. Used Rangi's phone to call AA. Long wait during which time a couple people stopped to offer assistance. I called again from the resort. Fellow wasn't happy that I couldn't give him an address. I told him to just drive along Oputere Road and the van would be seen. A man who had stopped on way in, stopped on his way out and insisted that he pull the van out using his wench on his new four-wheeler. It worked and I gave him a hug. Stopped at bird sanctuary for a picnic lunch. Dropped S&T off at Tuakau.
2005 Got nails - 5Kg for $160. Graeme sent me back to get galv ones instead of stainless steel for a third the cost. Spent the day nailing decking down.
2006 Brought Chris home and then zipped out to Ridge Road "Putt Around the Rocks" to play cribbage until Ian, Susi and the kids arrived. Men played together and I was only one of us all to break par (54) - Ian was terrible with 6 sixes. Minis for a barbecue, while Ian repaired tent poles. After the meal (Murray Bend '04 Merlot) we played petanque, while Ian juggled.
2012 F - Drove to Waiuku and past our place (trampolene in front yard) and I delivered biz cards into Dee's new mailbox. New World for a shop and long visit with Susi who looks good. Dominion with Ian. After roast meal we went back to Paul's where we had a game of TP.
2015 T - Ne's car in for WOF - charged $34 and queried why I paid $39 on Friday. Probably because Cherie didn't think I was old enough for a Gold Card. Bunnings to get a painting ladder. Ne's to repair rear exterior light. Home for Euphoria. Found out that Margaret Moore had been a TV continuity girl in the 70's.
2021 W - 60 minute walk in the heat. Home to watermelon. N95 face masks arrived...they don't look like the real thing.
2023 F - Rained all day with heavier stuff at night. Auckland state of emergency and airport flooded. Terraforming Mars, supper and a couple games of Catan. Watched House of the Dragon.
