1991 | Passed Whites at Bombay veggies and we met them in Thames at the new shopping center, Goldfields. Traditional ice cream cone at dairy and then into Kaeranga Valley. Did the Murray's Walk. Ian and I found most of the items in the book, including the world's tallest moss. Gail discovered a water wheel. Granny and Jackie did the swing bridge on our way to a swimming hole. We had set up at Boom's Flat and there was only one other couple - with about 30 teddy bears. Whites left leaving Matthew with us. |

2003 | Gail's first day at Strathallon. Ended up buying a new pump for the pool ($560) at Gubb's. Steph, Monique and Florence arrived back from Napier around 1PM. Exchanged gifts - couple bottles of wine for me and Gail got a scarf and artsy plate. Apparently there were no supplies at all in the classroom and made life difficult, so not a good start at the new school. Flo was brought to airport.
2006 | Needhams' to check out the pool and go for a swim (24°C) and spa. Bob gave me a ticket to Pukekohe races. Whites arrived for bridge on the deck, moving indoors at dark. Ian and Gail took three rubbers without much trouble. |
|
2007 | Checked out Fairways in Victor Harbor. Smaller properties and no "community facilities". Karen Dutton answered all of my questions. We drove to The Bluff but only for a look-see and not to hike it. Then we drove along Inman Valley Road through Yankalilla and stopped at Normanville to see a pretty bleak beach. Tried Bush Biscuits (cabin crackers with golden syrup in them). | from Bluff |

Old Church Road '09 SavBlanc with the delicious chickenburger from Fitzy'z and some of Emery's trifle for dessert.TP.
2012 | Sa - Stayed for lunch at Paul's. Emery's new home in Takanini. Still settling in and waiting for furniture. After the tour I worked on her new laptop. |
2013 | June and Ron over for the first time.
2016 | Th - Jill Bryce died today. When Ian got back from his bike ride we played petanque. I won rightie and Ian was suprizingly good leftie and won that. He brought along a Korean seaweed product that was a bit on the yuck side. We played Mythotopia. Had lasagne with an okay French VNO 2013 pinot noir. Then we played "The Bearded Man" card game which features Leon's face. Max stopped in.

Then they taught us "Century - Spice Road" before heading back to Katikati.
