1974	In Science the kids pulled things around using force meters. In 4Mathsf Janine Rabbette was the only one to get a complicated flow diagram right so I had her put it onto the board. After a "one minute" break Grant Williams was six minutes late, so I had the class give him a standing ovation. He had to go home because he couldn't see. So I told Frances to her put glasses on him and she said: "Ah, be quiet". Sandy Wirepa and her daughter, Angela, visited.
1975	We were to go to a lake with Klybergs, but weather threatened so they chickened out. We went for a drive south of Dawson and then over to Dale's Drive-In where David demolished an ice cream cone.
1980	T - Scoured the grove for firewood and pieces to make a pot hanger. David built a fire and then he cooked the SpaghettiOs for lunch and we all roasted hot dogs. Shot at Jeff's targets with our air rifle. I did well and David is a natural. Bob came home and we went into Hills to buy a baseball for Jeff. Hobo dinners for supper. Outside for sofball, pitching and shooting. Talked about records, Whoopee John, then oldies and comedy on TV. Bed at 2AM.
1984	Sa - Lake Nokomis to watch Milk Carton Boat races. Boats were pretty plain this year (photo). We got a spot near the finish line and were entertained as the officials had to try to keep people out of the area. Kids and Gail went for a swim. Stopped to see a Poodle Show (photo) at Lake Hiawatha.
1995	Whites over for a meal, Taboo and Susi's gifts (Fiji spring water, yaqona in a bottle), cake with an excellent Morton '91 chardonnay and bridge.
1997	T - Day 15 of our 3 month journey around the world. See 1997 Trip Photo Journal.
2011	F - Up at 8:30AM so I could get to Mercy for an MRI of my gut ($1060). From there I visited Bev for awhile. And then over to Ne's where I put up a shelf. We played Dominion, I had a nap and we had supper at a jam-packed Denny's. Not done yet - over to Minis' to give Matt a hug and then play Dominion until midnight.
2012	Su - Gail brought an electric throw to David A, then joined us for a soup lunch with Emery. Mini's: gave Susi birthday gifts. Played bridge (excellent Incognito '09 Syrah). Had a meal (mild Selini '11 Merlot) then Dominion with Steve, Ian, Tracy and Leon. Gail and I each won a game (3 played). Chainsaw didn't run for Ian, so he took it apart and then couldn't get it together; so he brought it over and I fixed it before we left at 7PM.
2013	M - Colleen and Cindy Mae over for Chinese Checkers and basic level Alhambra while sipping an excellent '11 Mt Difficulty Roaring Meg Pinot Noir.
2018	Su - Got to stadium to see end of ISP team's loss to Roosters. Bought 3 Microcare heat packs from Peter. Warriors played well and lost to Melbourne 12 - 6. Another could've-should've and robbed by refs. Loudest booing ever for a missed high tackle. Talked to James on the drive home.
2021	Th - Got my second COVID vaccination (card). Light box delivered after NZ Post claimed it couldn't be delivered yesterday. AFL: Cats moved into 1st place beating 8th place Dockers by 100 - 31 and last place Roos beat high flying Eagles.
