30th	31st	Aug 1st
1962	T - Babe Ruth Championship Series - Teamsters representing east side against Woodlake Sanitary. Played the series on the major league field. Pitched game 1 and struck out eleven. I remember the toughest batter I ever faced. He was very short and I couldn't strike him out. I threw over 10 pitches to him, before he walked. No matter what I threw he would foul it off. Threw the best change-up ever and he half-swung and then got back for a second swing to foul it. I began the game with a walk and promptly stole 2nd, then 3rd and then scored the first run. I repeated the exact same steps in the 6th to tie the game at 5. In the 4th I hit a triple that drove in 2 runs. Game on hold after 6 innings.
1971	Walked over to the Hindi settlement, had breakfast there and asked if I can attend the wedding. They said "yes" so I walked back to get the others (David, Kelera, Meleka and Bonnie). Murphy gave us a ride over. We sat around drinking yaqona until the groom's procession came. Long drawn out ceremony; afterward I hung out with Taru. We left early and I crashed (too much grog and too much sun). Down to Whites with Bonnie to play bridge. Bonnie was my partner. We were going to go to the Natovi dance and everyone was finally ready when Ian put on a splendid show which caused Susi to start throwing things around. Finally when she watered the playing cards Ian slapped her and that was the end to our evening.
1974	Inspector, Mr Long, came to 6th form lesson and looked at Anita McGhie's notes. Mr J stopped in during my free and said that Long was very impressed with me and especially the way I do the individualized lessons with 3rds. 4ths started slide rule and 9 didn't want to learn so I had them seated at back with their desks facing away from front and gave them revision sheets. Who came in? Long who was even more impressed that I was teaching two subjects simultaneously. Spent lunch organizing Mathex competitors.
1980	Th - Walked with Frank to get a paper. Muggy day. Drove around Berea. Kids played with girls next door after supper. Slides in the evening and talked until 11:30PM. Air conditioner on this time and it was a great help.
1988	Su - Sanders visited. Ulu's for 3 hours. Checked out his office in the basement and discussed how I could fit in. Not a good deal to offer aside from independence, a lot of hard work and maybe rewards in the future. So I didn't jump onto the bandwagon [ed. - his company ended up big and he was a multi-millionaire!].

2002	Jaycee took away the stuff that had been in Bill's room. Went to Granite Basin and did Trail 261 to the Vista Point on Granite Mountain - story and photos.
2003	Brought Doug and Marcia to airport (States for a couple of weeks). Graeme's where I met Maytel (hair tied into strands with baubbles) and had a wine while we sorted out G's computer problems.
2011	Su - Warriors. Juniors won 50 - 14. Big boys were down 8 - 10 at half and went on to win 29 - 10. Rescue helicopter landed to go along with all the other emergency services on display.
