Expo and Home |
Expo for one last time. Had to park a distance away this time, but it was free. Got there in time to catch the noon parade.
Waited 85 minutes to get into the NZ pavilion. Moari entertainment to help pass the time. Film about Maui and NZ. The thunderous sound was too much for an
elderly lady who I helped to the next room amid much commmotion. That room had a conveyor floor and it took you past ice sculptures with talking images of famous Kiwis. Last room was another film - about sporting activities for NZ kids. Little ones had sheep on springs to sit on.
Leaving that room brought you into a reproduction of a cave complete with glow worms and the exit was through a waterfalls that put you into a kauri forest. It was the most popular pavilion.
Germany - humorous and risque video about leisure activities. Outside were the Dusselugen Fountains that shoot according to Hertz inputs. Final stop Kenya where they had nice carvings but a poor video. Went to downtown Brisbane for the first time checked the duty free shops until we found a Casio SK-1 sampler ($165) for Ne. Gail bought a pair of small binoculars ($69). Found our way to the airport, dropped off the car, checked in, had a meal and played Hearts for the long wait until we flew out. |
