1966	Night man didn't show up (11PM shift) so I stayed on - I shouldn't have. At 12:30AM a bathtub hot water tap burst in a room and I had to handle the emergency. Quickly figuring out how to turn off the water supply to the room (in hall ceiling) and helping the people move to a new room. And there was a big sewer rat walking around the front entrance [ed. - back then the Inn was in the middle of open country] and Dee's son killed it.
1972	Sa - Dave and Carol Berkowitz and children, Larry and Rachel with a neighbor of theirs, Anne Slater, stayed over night. Game of Chinese checkers with Christine and Larry. We traded stamps. We had a minor magiti, with Emosi and Larry doing breadfruit in a lovo. Penny, Biti, Taru and Rajindra also ate over. We went down to the movie. Bob suspicious of our missing food supply over past weeks and suspected Rongorongo and Sialeni, so when they left the movie (Fathom), he followed them and caught them stealing ice cream from our fridge. I put the boys to bed and slept at Whites' since we had a full house.	Taru
1974	Bridge with Audrey D and Stella. They taught us many conventions and some probabilities.
1982	T - Tim Mehus called from Denver - Lesser had a PPP question. So we talked Twins and he told us about his life outside of work. Dad called to see if I wanted to go to Twins game with Butch and boys. He then told me about his days at the Arsenal. He was a supervisor of a crew that adjusted the machines. We were eating sardines. First time for David and he set aside the backbones and tail. Ne upon seeing me eat the whole thing: "Dad ate the tail!"
1983	F - Kids dry in their tent but the storm got inside our big tent. Rainy day. Drove scenic route to Rapid City and stopped at Cathedral Spires and scrambled about 2/3rds up. At Hill City we went to Hillyo Museum that was great and tried a 10¢ cherry cider at Dianne's Gift Shop. Lunch at a Dairy Queen. Dinosaur Park on top of a large hill via Skyline Drive. David bought a giant nickel. Museum of Geology with its rocks and dinosaur bones. On way back to Custer St Park we spotted a big bull bison at Collidge campground so we got out and took photos. 1990	Whites (video), sans Susi, joined us at Bombay veggie so we could make our 4th attempt at Mt William and we did make it to the trig this time. Clouds prevented the great views we wanted but we could make out Table Mt in Kaeuraenga Valley (video). Once back down (video) we gave Ian (Glider flight) and Tracy (MAD magazine) their birthday gifts (video).
1994	TP at Ann's. Paul has made an offer for 74 Beach Rd. Children at Kelvin Rd School gather to watch Gail eat "leaves" (spinach).
1995	Matthew arrived at 1PM from a soccer game in Otara. Rest of family came later. Played "Beans" with kids. Supper with a Lindauer brut, that Matthew really liked. Played Family Feud. Opened Ian's (53) and Tracy's (18) gifts. Cake and dessert. Scattergories until 11PM. Gave Ian the car roof rack.
2002	Cal and I brought the storage cupboard and trunk up to Prunie, then a load of Joyce's stuff to the junk yard. Gail and I walked (me, barefoot) to the top of the hill and where the water tank had been is now a picnic table. Met Alice O'B's granddaughter, Cordilia, 8, visiting from Sweden.
2005	Got home at 5:30PM to find Brundell who stayed for supper and then went to TP with us at Emery's. Irene told us about the wedding at Fawlty Towers, Fiji.
2006	Gail and I went to Franklin Arts Festival. Think I liked 5 pieces enough to buy if we had $.
