Bill's tent and canopy were blown down and their sleeping bags were drenched. A stream formed under Wandersee's camper. The boys used mud to channel it away from the campsite. Walked over to look at a waterfall. Brought firewood back. Te fell out of the camper into the mud. | Bob-Tom-Bill See more photos |

Kids went into the water by the dock, playing with swim ring and beachball. Helped Chuck bring in a maple from his forest allotment ($15 and he has to clear it before he can get another one). After lunch he took the kids for ride on the lake (Mille Lacs). Went about 3 miles north and he let David steer on the return. Chuck painted garage (using a pad) while I barbecued chicken. His cousin and wife dropped in to see the place. After supper we sat around sipping an Almaden claret and chatting. |

1990 | Interviewed, Jonathan Kirk, Ian's replacement exactly one year after he left! He seems perfect. Parent interviews. Met Reiter, who can't control his science class, very nice math teacher (Power) and weird Social Studies bloke (Greaves). Nice chat with Lynn Hunt who enjoys the absent excuse notes that I send. And Warwick Downes, now teaching, but I had him as a student and basketball player. Couple chats with Robson and said "hi" to Robyn Barnes. Eleanor Bateman came over to greet me. Letter from Joyce that a cancer tumor was removed from Dick's intestines. | |

2007 | Whites came for a curry supper followed by bridge and a fruity Nobilo Jibe '06 Pinot Noir. Gail must have had too much to drink because she tried topping up Susi's glass with the top still on the bottle. Whites won both rubbers. His father was a professional magician. Ian, dressed in Scottish garb, over for a meal followed by Upwords and I was lucky to win that.
