26th	27th	28th
1959	Daddy brought us with Danny, Sandy and Bill to the Millers 11 - Charleston 1 [baseball] game and mom picked us up at Smokey's aka Smokey Point Barbeque on Cedar Ave.
1970	Took bus into Suva and had a hassle trying to cash Ian's check. First you stand in line for the surname of the check writer, they check to see if there are sufficient funds by going to record books. If there is enough money, the check is endorsed and you then take it to the place where they hand out the cash. So I stood in cash line only to be told to get it endorsed first and I didn't know what that meant.
1972	I take over "eggs" from Murphy. That means I take the staff orders and when the eggs are delivered I broing the eggs to the houses.
1975	Dick bought a new car and said we could buy his old one. So we got more cash and he drove us over to Winn Stephens Buick on highway 100 to pay $1800 + $72 sales tax for the '71 Riviera.
1976	Mrs Dent gave us a bag of feijoas and invited us over for tea. I said "no thanks" as I had to go to basketball. She asked me if we could have no Sunday fires. I asked her about Saturdays. She was off and running saying we don't deserve this house - foreigners coming and taking jobs and houses.
1978	T - George, Dean and Synnott decided to not come to the game and we lost to Hillary 40 - 38 in overtime (1st loss in 3 years).
1984	Leland and Marge went with us to Como Park as did Scott S for the St. Paul Cos picnic and rides. We hung out with Paul, Linda and her sister Dawn. Kids went on a lot of rides and had fun. After the meal (plenty of pop and ice cream) we walked around the zoo, new aquarium house, baby orangutans and gorilla.

1989	Drove into Auckland for a seminar at Bledisoe House. "Train the Traineers". American speaker (Paul Krivonos) and about 20 others and we kept switching around so got to meet everyone.
1990	PCS staff lunch at Tony's Trambarn (across from Eve's Cakeshop, Lido and Spalato). Went in with Neil. Very "with it" waitress. Warren drinking like a fish - when dessert came he asked for a Grand Mariner and waitress said: "Only if he (me) says its okay". I replied that "if this were America I'd give you a tip". Interesting how she figured out that I was the boss. Rode back with Jill and Warren and slept most of the way back.
1991	Removed the 2x4s and we now have an opening between kitchen and livingroom.
1993	Gave Ian a tour of Rosehill computer setup. He won the French Grand Prix and I came in second. After supper women won at bridge. Couple games of Upwords. Gave Tracy her birthday gifts. Mike C called to say that daughter number 3 was born last night.
1995	Ran into Nadine Hitchcock who has three kids and a 4th on the way. David A had a seizure and went to hospital in ambulance, so I brought Doug and James in to Starship. CT showed everything fine. I brought Trish and James home.
1996	Th - Got to the hospital at 5:30PM and stayed for a couple games of cribbage. A lovely boquet from Dale and Roy.
1997	F - Took 20 minutes to figure out Bali's network plug was in upside down. Douglas Shanks kidnapped Chihiro's Tamaguchi. Kim over for a meal (excellent Vidal 1996 Fume Blanc and a very good Bellingham '94 CabSav) and to see Ne's Paris photos. Basketballing Blair joined us around 9:30PM. I got him to read his 29 emails.
1998	Sa - Gail and I went for a walk with Ian along Hull road to get views of our place from the back. Watched Warriors beat 1st place Melbourne with a try after the horn had gone. Had our first fire.
2000	T - MCC to pick up Titania and Senad (met Zoran). They bought a laptop (I got the price down $100 and had a mouse thrown in) at Noel Leemings. Senad shouted us at Wendy's.
2001	Doug called (settling into Burt Rd). Breeze called - relieving at Pakuranga and hating it - on the lookout for a trailer. Both dogs at vet overnight as they are having teeth repaired/removed.
2002	Went up to Purnie's to see if her I could use her VCR/TV to view photos from laptop - but its too old. So we visited for about an hour, gossiping about the neighbors.
2003	Audrey came by for a cuppa with Gail and me - she is off to Canada for 3 weeks. Ne and I decked out the living room with USA decor. Russell and Co arrived for takeaways, joined by Brundell who came early for TP. David and I split games at pool against Russell and Chris. Big crowd showed up for a lively game.
2004	Brundell stopped in, back from China.
2011	M - Susi over for a meal with an okay Wolf Blass (Yellow) 2010 Pinot and a couple games of Alhambra.
2013	Th - Anna over for Scrabble. Nicki called to say Berthe died.
2014	F - Anna over for Scrabble. Russell called to talk about the Warriors. Beryl and Edo over for Survive and a bottle of sweet Montana '13 Sauvignon Blanc. Sent in my first Oddproj (cane knife for "maintenance").
2020	Sa - email from Trish who has IH.
2023	T - Liquourland to get Kahlua and wine. Noel Leeming to get Ne a Samsung A34 and Powerline for me. Young clerk loved my accent. Ran into Gail at BP (25¢ subsidy ending at end of month). Picked up repaired glasses at SpecSavers. Ran into Gail at Countdown. Chemist asked if we lived at same address, since we were shopping seperately. Listened to the Twins 6 - Tigers 3 in 10 innings.
