1965 Paid $105.85 uni quarter tuition - also got $134 scholarship payment, so with the $83 from the other one I come out with enough to pay for books etc.
1966 Paid $125.85 university quarter tuition.
1967 Putt-Putt with Melanie at The Tender Trap (indoors at Magoo's) and we both did lousy. Went to Nelson's drive-in afterward. She had her hair fixed up and looked a million dollars.
1972 Made a meatloaf, salad, dressing and pudding before Thomases arrived on bus; visited Mitchells and took home cake and trifle.
1975 Adele Ryder and Clare decided to do a project on algebra. Ian Bold has the Cardiac together and is trying to figure it out. Lynette is going to build a computer. Frances is going to make a great isocohedron (20 sides).
1980 T - Cleaned house and left it for the last time. Lunch with Kathy then we picked up Mike at work and I took photos of his display area. Aldies came to Sanders for a farewell meal. Doug paid me for painting his garage with the money between two pieces of wood that were nailed together.
1984 Sa - Left kids and Sugar at Town's and brought Gail to Sri Lanka Curry House on Hennipen. I didn't like most of the stuff which tasted like it had been marinated in kerosene/vinegar. But the atmosphere was great with live music.
1985 Su - Dad brought the kids back and took some wood and car things. Called NZ Steel and sorted things out - we will pay for our flight and go anywhere we want (they'll reimburse direct flight cost). They will telex the embassy and try to get our visas moved along.
1988 Peter Taylor and I re-wrote the Micro Policy statement so that money will be taken from users and given to me to decide how to spend it for the company [ed. - that's how I came to manage a million dollars each year].
1989 Made a Donald Duck cake and brought it to the party. Balloon batting (video), billiards (Doug bought new balls), then DD cake and baba cake with lime/lemon ice cream. Gave David a Donald Duck comic and a Roadrunner ViewMaster (video). Boys strewn the green Easter grass all over (video) and finally it was the soccer ball (video). I gave James a balloon filled with 95 one cent pieces (video). Looked at the latest slides while sipping an Antinori '87 rosé. Was a rowdy, lively time.
1990 Manukau Windsurf Club grand opening at Connifer Grove. Impressed Ne when the Mayor (George Hawkins) came over, shook my hand and we spoke for a long time. His wife, Jean, and Nancy Hawks joined us. Doug was giving land lessons. Chatted with his mother, Steve G, Branden Van D and Perry C. Doug introduced us to Judy who we chatted with while ours and her kids were out on boards. David did on second session (video).
1995 Ian locked his keys in his car. Luckily I had kept a spare one when I sold him the car, just for this reason.
1996 Su - Chardy leads me to the bathroom. I won't open the door. Leads me there again and this time David comes out. She leads him to the dog food. She knows that I won't feed her, so she wouldn't lead me to the food.
2002 email from Judy and with proof that Maleceks came from Lomnice and there is a Bechyne near by.
2006 Everyone, including Bev and Colleen, showed up to TP. Looked at photos of Debbie and Chris' wedding. Lively session.
2007 Matt and Leah's engagement party here tonight so they made a lovo in the back paddock. First Warriors game of the year. Black Seeds played four songs before the game. James Cook Kapahaka group did their stuff and then the Warriors did their's, in the first half anyway leading the Eels 24 - 0. Won 36 - 18. New squad of cheerleaders, dressed in red and white? Read match report at Worriers. The party had ended by the time I got home at 10:30PM.
2008 We left Trish's car with "Mac" and I brought Ne back to Trish's.
2009 Brought Gail to Super Clinic for x-rays. They have decided to operate on right leg wound that isn't healing. Kathy Millar came to get work stuff since she will be taking the class for Gail.
2016 Th - Got out the DVD/VCR combo that I bought back in 2010 for $299 only find that it doesn't work!
2017 F - David and I went up the Mount about 1/3rd of the way in 30 minutes. I became nauseous and light-headed so we had to stop a few times before I gave up. Then I had to wait in the shade while he went back to find my phone that fell out of pocket at my first sit down. Felt good by the time we got home and it our first go at Martin's "Ships". After Turkish we played Castles of Burgundy. When mom went to bed we played Smallworld.
2018 Sa - Russell's new place in Te Kauwhata for the first time and it is great - modern/clean/dbl glazed... Took over an hour to get to the stadium. We had $18 tickets to get in and we headed straight for Peter to buy season passes. I bought a proper Warriors shirt (sans sponsors logos). ISP team lost 20 - 12 to Bulldogs. No cheerleaders. Sausages. Big boys won 20 - 8 (highlights) making for two wins at start of a season since 2009. Lucky for me as it is a longer ride with Russell.
