1971	Got a bill from Tong Lee in which I was charged for 3 pounds of butter and 5 loaves of bread while I was at the conference.	Tong Lee
1980	Sa - First drive in snow (4") since 1975 (many cars having trouble going up hills) on our way to Town's where Gail's cousin Paul and his wife, Lori Towne visited us. Drinks in the basement at Dick's a nice bar. Kids outside and David made "roads" around all of the houses (no fences or hedges and he didn't know the concept of borderless yards).
1981	Su - Went for a run. David followed me so I waited for him at the lake where we saw two ducks. Put Coleman stove together and tested it out. Stocked up on spring water at Theodore Worth park, then Mom's for a meal. Raked four bags of leaves. Watched The End.
1983	T - Tasks. St Paul Eye Clinic where I had to force Dr McNeill to use drops and give me a serious examination. He gave me new prescription which Butch was suspicious of since McNeill had rotated my stigmatism 90°. David and I baked a cake for Scouts.
1985	F - High = 57°F. Schwitter's for a meal (Masson Chablis) with them and Stroms. Little Glen was very active - always moving his hands. We played "Black Magic" and I was the first to figure it out. Stroms gave us a travel diary and a game for the kids.
1987	Rotorua. 2 hours going around Whakarewarewa (ticket) which has been spruced up since last visit ('78). Lots of tour groups (mostly foreigners). Skyride to do the luge. Ne had lots of trouble and caused a couple accidents. One time she fully stopped in the middle of the track around a corner so that others didn't know she was there. I had to pull off the track and get her going again. The chair lift back was a ride in itself. David went for a second luge. We did Hillside Herbs and Ne bought a Cat Mint plant. Tried kiwano - spiky yellow fruit with green flesh, cucumber type seeds and a hint of banana.
1992	Aldies stopped in for a snack and a game of tig (tag) where the person is "in" (it) and "home" is "gates".
1997	Sa - Whites dropped in with Noriyo Sato (American accent from attending uni at Albany, NY).
1998	Su - Fabiola called - plans to study dentistry [ed. - she became one, in Spain in 2010]. Picked up Hikaru Saito, who was staying with Jackson family at Otoua (goldfish farm). Brought her into Auckland and Lilliput (her first time and I made two hole-in-one shots). Cappuccino at Mission Bay. She gave us a kokeshi. Letter from Noriyo with wedding photos. Dawn McIntrye joined us for supper and kept us laughing with many stories.
2001	Doug over for a swim and RnR TP. Ian came by and we all had a last look at the MIR space station before it comes down and he stayed on to watch us play.
2007	Brought Susi and Ian over. Peter Wilkins came and we relived 1970 and caught up on the years since then. Had a spicy 05 Church Road Merlot CabSav to go with the barbeque meal Gail put together. Turns out that Peter has been to Nauru and knows it well. Liked his story about the time he and Woody tried to hitchhike and the Indian stiffed them to pay for petrol.
2013	F - Russell arrived in his new Holden, then proceded to skunk us. Had a lovely meal at Number 8 with a Lake Chalice Syrah that was extremely good. Gave Russell a Dominion lesson.
2015	Su - Ne came over and we played Bora Bora, Legends, World Without End and Stone Age with David. And while playing he repaired my dead laptop
2021	M - Watched cousin Steve's talk on water projects. Gym (photo of glide machine), pool (8) and stairs. AFL: Crows, who only won 2 games last year, built a 43 point lead over front favorite, Cats, and held on to win - Tex had 5 goals (highlights).
