1960	State High School Basketball Tournament: Watched Richfield 60 (Davis scored 20) - No St Paul 51.
1963	Charlie Mahacek and family visited.
1971	Came up with the idea of making teams of each row in 3B and having math competitions and the boys loved it. [ed. - I used this the remainder of my teaching days, but just with juniors].
1972	Fiji: General elections next month so political speeches on radio - interesting.
1973	Mariasoucces gave us a lot of vegetables.
1975	Purvis and waited until I was last one to be seen only to have him go off to deliver a baby, so I stayed until 5PM and gave up. Heather and Jamie over for supper.
1981	T - Pens and pencils disappearing, so I marked mine and found it was Tom (we shared a cubicle) so I took all of his in retaliation. Phone company finally found the long distance calls problem - crossed lines.
1984	Sa - Maplewood Mall where I bought a pair of brown wingtips for $30 (still wearing the in 2022). Kids had a go with "Fishing" and each got a mini tool set.
1985	Su - Labelle's where we bought an Octa-Gym. Dropped the TV off with Chris. Fausts' (proud to be the most boring couple in the world) for the evening. Checked out his wine cellar and wood panelled attic room. Meal and then ping pong with kids and cat, Apollo. Looked at family photos and heard how boring their wedding was (celery instead of a cake). Had some mighty fine wine - very dry Preston '83 Cabernet Blanc and an excellent Des Soulades '70 Bordeux.	Fausts
1992	Got milk ($1.10/l) and bread ($1.85).
1996	Su - Gail and I went surfing. Powerful and frequent waves. Sat and observed the activities - horses, dogs, hang gliders, cricket...
1998	T - Met Ong (Maturod Buranaskda) from Thailand. Went to airport where I took one of Peter Menzel's suitcase from him, so he doesn't need to carry it around with him.
2000	F - Colleen's where we met a teacher from Perth, Ian. Four of us drove to Bev's new place in Pakaranga for TP.
2002	First Warriors game. They held out against Sydney Roosters 21-14. Shontayne Hape injured his knee on first play. We (Russell, Ann and Chris) are about four rows higher up this year so we can see the benches.	Hape
2011	Th - Alhambra big box and Dominion Alchemy came. Got skunked. Ian over to play the two games mentioned. Our place is front page with center spread in this week's Pukekohe Property Press.
2012	Sa - Ann picked us up to watch the Vulcans win 48 - 24. Salt and pepper squid for my supper. Then the Under 20's won 30 - 6. Russell bought kettle popcorn which they covered with powdered sugar. Only 8 cheerleaders and they don't really cheer, just do a dance before the game at half-time with no one noticing. Big boys won 26 - 6 over Titans.
2013	Su - Russell left at 5AM to be in Pukekohe for a golf date. Used Ne's car to join Gail at at parking ramp in Tauranga where we had Ne's artwork on display. Rob McGregor was there with about 15 other artists. No great crowd, but steady stream of lookers, but no buyers.
2014	M - Kaua'i calendar from Newsy.
2015	T - Park Street being made into a single lane one-way. We got there early and as we sat we saw people coming in the old exit and leaving via the new entrance and one even went the wrong way on the road. Saw Dr Saunders who says cornea still swollen and to continue drops. We have cancelled the right eye op.
2016	Th - Games at Kim's. Colditz with Tilman as Germany and Clayton, Max, Kim and Sean prisoners. I made one escape via the car. Tilman left. Then it was Bang! with Max departing at midnight. The remainder talked until 4:15AM. Firstly, Formula 1, then philosophical and personal viewpoints. Found out a lot about each other.
2021	W - email from Ian - painted 2 windows, Susi has a wheelchair and an article on Heasley. Gail had a dizzy spell. 63 minute walk, stopping whenever butt pain showed up. Gym, pool (6 back to no heat) and stairs.
2022	Th - Walked to get a B12 then crashed. Listened to the Twins first Spring Training game losing to Boston 14 - 1. Looks like its going to just like last year - really bad. AFL: Dockers managed to deflect last second goal and beat Crows by 1 Rachele had 5 goals in his first game.
