1971	Murph spilt my coffee onto my lap which pleased everyone in the staff room as it made me look more like a Peace Corps volunteer. Set up a cardboard house by back door for Ghetto and her pups.
1980	Su - David (electrician making $30/hr) and Billy were first to arrived. Brought along trucks, so our David and Billy were busy all day. Joyce gave David a Spiderman helicopter. Bill and Shirley, Patty, Bob, Cheryl, Rachel and Steven also came. Beers in the basement followed by a big chow.	Rachel
1986	Su - Easter Show - Show Jumping and Happy the Hobo show. Circus: dogs, horses, clowns on a ladder, juggler who tried to stab tossed lemons with a knife in his mouth. Kids went on Haunted House ride and the Scrambler ($2.50). Went through livestock, displays and paintings buildings. Watched Rainbow Brite show. Kids won Smurf posters and marbles playing games (darts and rolling ping pong balls).
1988	Neil and I met with his boss, Les Wills, to review the past 6 months and plan the future projects. Barry Dunn, who I taught in 5th form 10 years ago is now teaching Math at Waiuku College, came by to organize a tour of mill in regard to his 6th computer studies.
1996	Sa - Gail and I went to Opoutere. Loaded up on squashes and sand before rain came. Supper with a lovely R & B '95 cab/shiraz. I slept in the shed which has a room walled off with ceiling. A pile of steel girders for bridge [ed - Nick finally got approval to build it in 2009].
2000	T - Brundell's for first time. He loaded the van with exotic plants.
2002	email from Steve G (working in Paris, going to UK this weekend for a Christening, then Italy next weekend to watch England rugby test).
2004	Joyce called to tell me that my father's kidney problem was uric acid so them put a stent in to drain it, that Lavonne (she calls her Yvonne) won't do anything about her arthritis and that 75 Filipinos showed up for CP's christening. They sure can eat and Lavonne didn't dare get up or she would have never sat again. Listened to Twins pre-season game against Phillies (Mientkiewicz, Hunter and Jones hit consecutive homers first time up - this after Sid Hartmann had moaned about their lack of homers so far).
2006	$79.96 to fill van @$1.57/l. First session with Kerry F at PAC then 3 hours at PAG with Sandy and Katie. Tisco to find out what's happening with my DVD recorder. It was sitting there for the past month and had never been serviced.	Kerry
2013	Sa - Paul, Irene and "Katy" arrived around 3PM and it was talking until 1AM, with a pizza meal from Milano's thrown in. Paul back to drinking so we had an excellent Clifford Bay 2011 Pinot Gris.
2019	Sa - David and I played a few games on the new petanque court. Home for Brass-B, waffles, Mombasa. Gail went to bed and we played Burgundy. Ne left and David and I played Plethora.
