1971	Cyclone Thelma veered off - but there was no school as the weather was wicked. Frazier beat Clay by decision. Most of the boys were in the Physics lab listening to the round reports (highlights). Prince Phillip is going around the islands on Britania and we get live broadcasts. He has a good sense of humor.
1974	Boardman dropped in - he sold the car, picked apples in Nelson and is on his way home. He gave me maths and physics papers, a voice synthesizer, V-8, wankel motor models and a radio. Clevedon A&P carnival with Breezes and Bob. Polo, parachutists, hang gliders, motorcycles, rides events and beer garden where we spent most of the time with Mitchell and Hunt. Sanders over in evening for billiards, snooker and 500. Mike made a stab at the "Radio i" ESP contest. Answer was a military shell ashtray.
1978	Th - I was given a shot and then the doctor removed three meters of gauze packing from my nose. My nose bled all day long. Did some reading but spent most of the day sleeping. Gail came in the evening with cards from Trish, Doug and the kids, and cookies. Doug also sent a bogus Admission Assessment (pg 1 pg 2). Checkout the envelop.	ex kids
1982	T - Unit meeting with new IT head, Gary Hansen. Went around the table and introduced ourselves then he told us about his job history at Federal Reserve Bank. Questions from us. Only Lois and Cathy asked them. Finally he said the rest of us were conspicuous by our silence. So I said: "You wouldn't want me to ask a question". I eyeballed the group and asked: "Why did they hire you?" And we went from there with me drilling him. He told us about Occham's Razor and Lesser corrected him on place and date.
1985	Sa - Dieffenbach's for an enjoyable evening, meal and Trivial Pursuit. Their 1984 Portuguese Lancer rosé was fizzy, while the rosé I brought, a 1982 French Cabernet D'anjou, was heavy like a sherry.	S.N.A.G.
2008	Trish, David, Russel, Peter and Scruffy arrived around 1:30PM for an escape from the visitors coming to her house offering support over James death. We had lunch. Ne and David went to Karioitahi. Spoke to John Howell on phone when he called to organize the service with Trish.
2012	F - Ne and Colleen joined us for fish 'n chips at OSV restuarant. Met Janet on her way home from Happy Hour. Chatted with Les (leg killing him), Jill was there too. Helped Alice who peeped in the gym to see why Ne was laughing. Gail was on a contraption and couldn't budge it. Played Upwords with Colleen. She drove home (in the dark for the first time - had to show her how to do her lights).
2015	M - Up at 6AM so I could be at Park Street at 7:15AM where Dr Saunders did my left cataract. Home at 9:30AM. email from Shirley: Bill passed away on the 6th from lung cancer.
2018	F - Went to conveyencer's Tess Halse's place on the beach at Taylor's Reserve area to sign documents for the sale and purchases. Bought Violet's fridge and a couple dressers. Home to play Terraforming. Ham supper with a rosé. Got Shipwrights of the North Sea for a first go. David and I played 3 games of Kingdom Builder.
2023	Th - Had an Oreo Cinnamon Bun and it is fantastic. 100 minute walk to Pacific Blvd and then along beach to get back. Saw three skinks and hebe flowers everywhere in the dunes. Gym and pool (10). Watched Swans blow away Blues in preseason match.
2024	Sa - Gail and I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 3 eating popcorn with an intermission for a Trumpet.
