15th	16th	17th
1959	In spring the cottonwoods produce seed pods and the round seeds become good weapons of war, in blow darts. So Bill, Bob, Dan, Paul and I attacked the girls with them. Bill Diehl read my request and played Dream Lover for me to Sandra.
1972	Murph drove me to Natovi where Father Bridgewater showed me the forms and everything that I needed to do. Spaghetti at Murph's. Showed Trish how to perk coffee. Boardman came and we played snooker.
1976	Paul and Bill came around 2PM. Gave them a tour and had a long chat. Paul and I got stuck into listening to the "telescopes" I did of him at Radio i while looking at my albums. Ate at 5PM and then left 7PM.
1978	T - Stopped at Mike's new workshop, then South Mall - bought model paint but couldn't find a basketball anywhere. We had a lovely lunch at Goldcrest Coffee Lounge at Hillcrest. Kids got a bag of chips from the ETA peanut. Dr Mills put me onto tranquillizers for depression. They really tire me out.
1980	F - Mom brought us and Brandon to Tonka Toys where we went on a tour with a Spanish-speaking group. Interesting to see paint applied using opposite charges. We each were given a truck. Hoffsis called.
1981	Sa - Garage sale: Gail bought a bike for herself for $10, Lionel train set for $5, comics, end table for $1. David and I set the train up in back room. Repaired the crossing lights and drop arm. The engine smokes. Picked Gail up at 6PM and went to Wendy's for the first time. Real hamburgers and great shakes.
1985	Th - Had my eye checked for foreign matter (many cinders in mill air) and wore a patch for 20 mins. Mill tour with 3 other employees and a group of Karaka Young Farmers. Bought a hot lunch and sat with the Chinese fellow from the bus. Turned out to be Timothy Lee's father, Willie; so we had a long chat. Purchasing to check on a printer switch box - met Rose Van der Lee (also on the same bus). An hour with Rosemary Batt, librarian, about MIS magazines and books of which there is none, so I typed a list for Varney to consider. Walked over to Sanders for supper and wine.	Rose
1986	F - Vicki Jones was visiting while Paula and Ne went to YMCA with Cabbie. Ne had shampooed him at Low's last night, put ribbons and a shirt on him. He won best pet, cleanest pet and best obedient pet at the Y pet show. Ne won $5, sunglasses, a certificate and a badge. Greg J played guns with David.	The Best
1987	Gail and I went to Clarks' to see Alexandra Michele, give them gifts. Anil, Liji and Leah came by. Tour of yard, a meal and then slides of India.
1988	Made the flight bookings with Christine at Green's. Stopped in at Purvis to pay bill. Asked about my blood test results (done 3 weeks ago), told to wait a few minutes - an hour later he comes out and gives me a form for new tests (other ones must have been lost). Letter from Joyce who is recovering from a wrist and elbow operation.
1999	Sa - Doug, who just won cycle race in Waiuku Forest, dropped in with Craigens. We went for a swim. Tour of house, coffee and cake.
2002	Smoke woke me at 5:45AM - it was thick low-lying overhead. Wind had cleared the smoke to the west by 10AM. Shranko's to get garage door opener and instructions on using his TV to watch Twins games while they are away the next month.
2011	M - Gail brought back Mammoth Table Queen seeds from States and I planted one where the septic drain field seeps up and ended up with 26 of the suckers so we are eating squash this and squash that.
2013	Th - Gave a Canterbury Cream to Colleen and had a drink with her. Her beautiful kauri is dying. Dominion with David.
2015	Sa - Put on my new racing shirt for Clayton, Kim and Paul's arrival. I made an great comeback from last to finish 2nd in the Spanish F1. We had Turkish thanks to Clayton. Then amazingly I won the FD race. Heard that Paul likes Dominion so we taught that to Clayton and we ended by doing some trivia.
2018	W - Watched youngster Ronke in his third game set an AFL record of 7 goals and 10 tackles as the Swans pipped Hawthorn in last 2 minutes.
2023	T - Game of Habitats. Countdown where Jazz apples now selling for $1 each. AFL: Suns (in first place) 100 - Blues 74. Rare televised Twins 8 - Dodgers 9 in 12 innings, walking in the winning run.
