1980 | W - Hung planters on front of house for mom. We were getting ready to go to park when mom pointed out that Zayre was now 50% off. Store was empty and as we went around a manager announced further reductions. We filled three carts full. So lucky to be there before crowds arrived. I went home to get more money. Bought an entertainment center unit ($35) [ed. - gave it away in 2009], sleeping bag, tools, boots, 8 piece dinner set.
1984 | M - Tom took the kids fishing while we packed. Left White City Resort at 10AM for Deertown. Not much for $7, but the kids liked it. Once we hit the interstate it was bumper to bumper boats and RV's. Picked up Sugar at Towns. See Deertown photos.
1985 | T - Spent day calling users about computing needs. Got a range of reactions from "I'm too busy, just get me a computer" to "Great, come over and see us" and "we don't need you".
1990 | Auckland to spend morning with Ian Scherger and Glynnis Robinson at Ashton-Tate. Centron to see their new setup and get Mike to come up with a discount for the Mktg project. He took me to lunch at the Wharfside. Excellent Italian '87 Bardinino, baby squid and snapper.
1998 | Th - Jo hit me as soon as I get to school with an email problem. She and Mrs Sanders are not getting along, so I flipped Kathy $5 to cover the library's paper costs of the exchange students. All of them were there so I showed them the photos from the AFS evening. Someone had cleared A6 and T27 in PrintRoom, so I sent the harddrives off to PC Doctor. Organized for Penny B to talk to Howlett about Ong finding 7th form physics too hard. Diego stopped in as I requested. I surprized him with a birthday gift of cachacas. Jo and Renata were waiting at the door when John Morrison came in and said: "Looks like International Headquarters". | Diego |
2023 | Su - email to Smithers. 55 minute walk to Sandhurst. Got a photo of the "biker" who I have seen so many times over the years. Called Russell who is having a heart procedure (stent?). AFL: Dogs 79 - Blues 59 and Pies 120 - GWS 55. Watched The Wife.
