North Star Lake with Steve: Storm over night blew roof off the Marcel Inn and cut our electricity. We stopped somewhere for breakfast. Left my lights on so flat battery. Luckily, gas station next door
and we were able to push the car over to get a jump. In the woods of northern Minnesota a Sting Ray passed us, so we took after it in my '64 Olds with top down. So I was definitely speeding on the day. But when I passed a slow moving car
closer to Milacs I was pulled over for speeding. First of all the car is registered to my mom under the name of Fisher, so the cop was suspicious when my name is Malecek. Told him I was coasting back to speed limit after passing a car which was the truth, but he claimed there was no car now following me. So I got the ticket [ed. - got out of court appearance and paid the fine]. |

Th - High = 87°F. Towns and mom over for supper and then to Woodbury to show them where I work. As we were signing in, Eric Ze was signing out - turns out that he worked at Foo Choo's about 14 years ago with Joyce, Gail and Chris. Ne's recital which
seemed boring compared to last year's. One little girl was a real ham and put on a SHOW. Ne was in three numbers. She did well on "We Got the Beat", but got muddled in the Strawberry Shortcake
routine where she was the leader. In "Grease Lightning" she was in the line and performed better. See photos. |
