1968	Got a letter from Reinheld, a distant cousin in Germany. Didn't know that she existed.
1973	Daniel Pedoe is giving a talk in Auckland. He was the professor of the only class I dropped out of at uni; after his first lecture.
1975	Afternoon repairing 1918 garage roof with Bob and Mert (photo). Went to the new house with mom and some boxes.
1978	Th - Letter, basketball and slide of his Viti Levu model from ICW.
1980	Su - Drove around Byllesby Lake. Gail made us a chicken lunch. Billy came back with us and David followed. Left the kids with Joyce and went to Zayre but this time so David Krohn could stock up on clothes for Billy. Te and Billy looked for a hill where they could try out the skate board. Had supper at Towns, then back to Mom's.
1983	W - Went to Chuck and Inez's for a walleye meal with an excellent Italian Bianco bubbly and an okay Inglenook Navelle Chenin Blanc and admired their tomatoes.
1985	Sa - Manukau City Center before it closed at noon [ed. - not open on Sundays]. We bought a microwave ($458) at Woolies [ed. - gave it to Jackie in 2008].
1992	Aldies over to celebrate their anniversary. We gave them a bag of compost to go with the card (video). Had a lovely Orlando '90 claret with lunch. Cricket at South School (video). Looked at Trish's photo album (video) and my video of our stay at Awhitu camp. Our David showed them his computer games and taught them how to use a joy stick.
1997	Su - Whites - Chinese Checkers. Cake and gifts for Ve: mangoes, maple syup and the "rubbish" card from me, a black sheep and $17 for goggles (video). Gave Gail her new camera. Played Family Feud (video) then bridge and yaqona (video). Ve very happy and was crying from joy.	yaqona (kava)
2005	Steph returned card table and visited. Clarks for a Grants Scotch before a beef roast dinner with a lovely Grant Burge 1999 Shiraz. Helped Charlotte with math homework, then Mike and I played Rock Fever. Car lights wouldn't work so I spent the night there. Had to leave the guest room because of perfume and spent night in old computer room.
